You can get the best abilities of the Roper with a simple Polymorph spell. No need to be a Planar Shepard. :D

SR 30 is pretty awesome. And it's still only one of the multitude of forms available for a Planar Shepherd. Nothing is stopping you from being a Dire Bear when beating up fighters and then turning into a Roper for some hentai action on the enemy casters.
Yes, but I'd bet dollars to donuts that the Polymorph spell sees a lot more play than Planar Shepherds do. ;)

Q 252 If a thri-kreen's alternate favored class is soulknife in a psionics campaign, how do you go about giving them enough mind blades for all four hands? Shape Mind Blade will enable you to make two short swords.
A252
the Shape Mindblade Class feature allows a Soulknife to Manifest 2 Mindblades with the same action .... there is nothing limiting them to manifesting more mindblades except they have no Hands to hold them with ...... a Thri-kreen can simply manifest 4 Mindblades ... since it is a free action, they could Manifest thier Mindblade 2 times and make 2 each time

Q253
Planning ahead I'd like my Sorcerer or Favoured Soul to be able to cast Psychic Reformation so I can swap out spells. I know I can use miracle, wish or limited wish to cast Psychic Reformation, is there anyway I can do it before level 13 (without using a magic item).

Can they actually do that? Manifest 2 separate mindblades? If that were the case, couldn't you just make two mindblades in the first place, and not have to use the Shape Mindblade ability?
From what I read, every time you make an additional one, it does down by an enhancement. I read in Dragon that you can make 1 with a +0 enhancement as if it were just a masterwork weapon. So you'd need to have at least a +4 mindblade in order to make four +1 shortswords.

technically you could manifest all 4 with a single manifestaion of your mindblade .... Soulknife was written for Humanoid characters who normally have only 2 arms .... also the enhancement reduction is not Cumulative ...

There is that kalashtar shard that costs 1 HP to implant per shard (Max HD shards) and lets you augment past your manifester level up to 3x manifester level.

If you can find me a direct quote that says this, I'll accept it. Otherwise it is cumulative. I probably don't have to explain why I need that.

All I've got so far is this (from Mind Daggers feat): "You may form a mind blade more than once a round, but each blade formed after the first has its enhancement decreased by 1 (minimum 0). Thus, if you can create a +4 mind blade, your second mind blade created with this ability is a +3 mind blade, your third is a +2, and so on."

Q 255 What are some different ways of gaining Pounce? Preferably from magic items.

Quote
From the DMG
Incorporealityextra damage from being favored enemies, and from sneak attacks. They move in any direction (including up or down) at will. They do not need to walk on the ground. They can pass through solid objects at will, although they cannot see when their eyes are within solid matter....
I'd never noticed the red part before.
Wow, I really want to be a Telthor Saint now...
Q 245: Even though an incorporeal creature would normally be immune to favored enemy damage and skirmish damage, does the Swift Hunter feat still grant you the ability to apply skirmish damage to such creatures?  Assuming you have its type as a favored enemy, of course.
Let me answer differently. The information in DMG is invalid, because MM is the primary source of information about monsters, and MM does not mention any such bullshit. Could this be some kind of 3.0 relict in DMG?

Edit: Rules Compendium does not mention this either.

But it's a status ailment, not a monster.

No other answers?  As it is listed on d20srd.org, it was never errata'd, thus I doubt it is a 3.0 relic.

Doesn't Metaconcert allow you to do a sort of circle magic thing?

Q 256: If a Daggerspell Shaper were holding a Spectral Dagger (MIC - effectively gives you unlimited chill touch in dagger form), and he wildshaped into whatever had a claw attack, does he now deal chill touch damage (and via a touch attack) with that one claw?

That doesn't mean much... The Ranger's FE damage was precision damage in 3.0, but not in 3.5. I'm sure it's just something they overlooked, and probably hardly anyone ever even noticed.

[/quote]I don't see any basis for that in the actual rules, but it's cool enough to let someone do anyway. :D

Just curious why not?  The spectral dagger IS a dagger, and daggerspell shapers get the magical properties of their daggers in their claw attacks.

You never lose the Living Construct Subtype, which specifically grants a con score, and subtype granting overrides type limitations, so yes.

A gygaxian dungeon is like the world's most messed up game show.

Behind door number one: INSTANT DEATH!
Behind door number 2: A magic crown!
Behind door number 3: 4d6 giant bees, and THREE HUNDRED POUNDS OF HONEY!
They don't/haven't, was the point. 3.5 is as dead as people not liking nice tits.

Sometimes, their tits (3.5) get enhancements (houserules), but that doesn't mean people don't like nice tits.

Though sometimes, the surgeon (DM) botches them pretty bad...
Best metaphor I have seen in a long time.  I give you much fu.
Three Errata for the Mage-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Barbarian-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Monks doomed to die,
One for the Wizard on his dark throne
In the Land of Charop where the Shadows lie.

I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle.  The book doesn't even exist!
