Um... any non-ascending (pre-epic) methods?

Q212

The Earth Dreamer's ability Earth Glide. I understand that it is a standard action to activate (and lasts 3+Con Mod rds), but what are its limitations. I'm not sure how it is suppose to function and interact with other actions.

Couldn't I just sit under the earth, use Earth Sight and blast away since I technically have Line of Sight?  Is that countered by the fact that its truelly blocked by solid material and thus I couldn't target them even though I can see them?

Well earth would block line of effect, even if you have line of sight.  Although, some spells don't require a line of effect.

Right, I figured LoE would counter any issue that ability would have with dealing damage without fear of response. Seems mostly detect spells that penetrate would be about the only ones that come to mind off-hand. That will make it reasonable in use for a potential build I'm tossing about.

Thanks much!

Is it the smell that hurts vampires? I think there's a cheap magic item that can block scent-based attacks.

Q214
Q200
How does a Harpoon(Stormwrack) function while the effects of a Bloodstorm Blade(TomeOfBattle) are applied? If Returning Attacks is applied, does it simply pull out doing more damage, does it drag the target near my square, or does it do nothing? ETC, ETC with the other effects.
Because there were 3 other Q200. =P

Mask of Sweet Air does it (MIC).

That said, I don't think it's the smell of garlic that causes problems.  I think it's the presence.
I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle.  The book doesn't even exist!

Says in the monster manual it's the odor that does it.  Stay upwind or use the mask.

Even if you assume it is the presence rather than the odor, ranged attacks can be useful, as can setting areas on fire, possibly with ranged fire attacks.

They don't/haven't, was the point. 3.5 is as dead as people not liking nice tits.

Sometimes, their tits (3.5) get enhancements (houserules), but that doesn't mean people don't like nice tits.

Though sometimes, the surgeon (DM) botches them pretty bad...

Setting the garlic-wearer on fire is implied when you burn 100 square miles of whatever terrain he's in.

You could also grab one level of Warlock and Shatter every clove of garlic, mirror, and holy symbol you see.

Q211 Anyone got any good links or advice for a Planar Shepherd's magical beast shape ability?
re-post.
I seem to recall that magical beast shape isn't really too overwhelming. Other features of Planar Shepherd are.

Wait, wait! Better be careful about that. Vaporized garlic fumes are just as dangerous as holy steam to vampires. (Vaporized holy water)
