When I was still in school we had some psycho who had decided there would be no snow days no matter what.  So one year everyone got stuck at school overnight because by the time he admitted it was bad and we could go home, the busses couldn't reach the school.  I said fuck it and took the 45 minute walk through the blizzard.  A ton of people stopped to ask what I thought I was doing cause I should be in school, and drove off when I said everyone was stuck there and they'd let out for the day.  Bastards didn't even offer me a ride (not that I would've taken one from strangers).

How much snow is required for one of those days, are you like the Brits were 15 cm is enough or does it require some actual snowing?

It depends.  The three biggest things that will cause them where I live in Michigan are:

• Lots of ice on the road (the most common)
• Snow falling at a really fast rate, so that the plows can't keep up and/or white-out conditions
• Really cold temperatures

Ubuntu 10.10, 32-bit. I used 10.4 before, but it started behaving in every weird way you can imagine so I decided to throw it out the window and update

@konner: Suggestions for spells, I made a nice list when the boards went down so it got lost and these two are what I can recall at the top of my head

• Girallon's Blessing^SpC: Always fun, no exceptions
• Holy Storm ^SpC: Considering what we are up against this could deal some serious damage to a group of undead, if you create some Holy Water as well
