I remember seeing a spell somewhere that created a contingency for you... I think it was 8th level, and you were limited to one such contingency.

Heh, silly me. I was looking in Complete Arcane/Mage, for some reason.

But here's what I was going to use it for:

Cast Contingency

Make the trigger "Whenever either A or B happens. A being that I say Hocus Pocus, and B being that this contingency ends through my not using it, i.e. if I don't trigger the contingency within 1 day/level."

The spell Contingencied?

Sanctum Greater Arcane Fusion

The spells fusioned?

Extended Contingency (Greater Arcane Fusion), and some random up to 5th level spell (probably could change it each time this triggers...)

You know what that Greater Arcane Fusion should give you? See above under "The spells fusioned"

Congrats, you now have a 5th level spell that triggers whenever the hell you want. My favorite would be Arcane Fusion (whatever 2 Personal buffs that tickle your fancy, As long as 1 is 1st level and the other is up to 4th level, 5th if Sanctum Spell is allowed to be applied down here.)

Or, heck, you could put every 1st/2nd level buff in the game on you by saying Hocus Pocus.

Plus, Metamagic doesn't increase spell level...

Hello all of those 1st/2nd level buffs being persistent.  

And if you like complications, you could make the second triggered Contingency be Raise Dead... And then just make the chain be complicated.

Eschew Materials will be great for the person casting this on you; i.e. you...

The real point of this is making a resetting contingency with 2 Spells and 2 Feats.

Edit: I left out a key Ingredient. The Sorcerer giving you the Contingency (or you have to be the Sorc, whatever), hast to have Reserves of Strength so that you can have a Sanctum Greater Arcane Fusion Contingencied (Normal limit is Cl/3, max 6th, but Reserves of Strength bumps that up to 7th. You would only need it for when you begin to cast the spell, anyway.)

Also, by properly setting up the contingencies, you can have every buff 5th level and down put on you... when you say Hocus Pocus.

if the sanctum spell - arcane fusion thing is allowed, why not just nuke everything with unlimited damage in 1 round?

The only reason I said buffs is that the spell states that personal spells only are Contingifiable through it.

But if I can get the right Metamagic, I could cast every spell 5th level and lower by saying Hocus Pocus.

This would be hilarious to watch.

Wouldn't work.  Contingency is 10 minutes to cast, Greater Arcane Focus requires Standard action or less.  Unless I'm missing something, which I'll assume.

I believe you mean Anyspell. If memory serves, that wouldn't work either, since the spell itself only lets you prepare a different spell, you need a separate action to cast it.
Try Limited Wish, if you can fit it in the GAF.

Anyspell is 3rd level.  Greater Anyspell is 6th level.  Both take 15 minutes to cast (it includes the preparation of the new spell).

Edit: I was going to suggest trying Rary's Mnemonic Enhancer, but that also has a casting time of 10 minutes.
