Q157: If I had a psionic contingency to manifest anticipatory strike with the condition "I want to manifest this power when an enemy would otherwise act before I do", then does that automatically make me go first?

And what if I were attacked by a deity with Supreme Initiative?  Would I still go before he does?

The BBEG makes a pancake in the morning.  You manifest your power.

In my humble opinion, CO is haberdashery. Some say we're mad, but we can all agree we're hatters. Yes, we have potential to make very sophisticated hats, very fancy hats, be they dark or light. But the truth is that the color of the hat does not come from the group of us - our community doesn't directly produce hats. We simply give average head circumferences, list current fashion trends, and point out some shiny, obscure baubles to add to the latest hat line.

And by "makes a pancake", you mean "takes a crap", right?  :lol

Q 158. If you have Hide in Plain Sight, and your hiding, and standing completely still, does that count as being invisible?  I dont know the exact skill trick, but a friend of mine is getting a ridiculous hide modifier. Hes got like the dark template, and the ninja class I think...

Bumping both questions

Q 150 Were archliches evil in 2nd Ed? I'm reading up on a being named Deimos who was an archlich in the Mystara world, but arch liches are of the good variety in 3.5, are they not? If that's the case, what would Deimos be now?

Q 156 Where can I find info on the Riyakaa creature?

A158: Invisible is defined as visually undetectable. An enemy who has not spotted you treats you as though invisible - meaning you get the +2 to attacks against him, he's treated as flat-footed vs you, etc.
Shh. My common sense is tingling. . .

A 158: No one knows how the hell the hide skill works exactly in D&D, much less when you throw in things like HiPS. He for sure wouldn't get a +20 to hide as if he's invisible just for having HiPS, though. He's only (virtually) invisible after he hides, not before.

Q153: Is the damage from a falling object's weight capped, or does the 20d6 damage from the falling object only apply to the additional damage dealt by the distance it fell?

I think the damage is uncapped by weight, and that the 20d6 cap only applies to the distance it fell (similar to a character falling).

Q154: Is there anywhere I can find the cost of a material, such as granite, adamantine, obdurium, etc. by weight?

154: I don't see raw materials here, just the extra cost for weapons and armor worked with materials like silver, cold iron, adamantine and mithral. It's close, but not quite exactly what I was looking for.

As an example, if I were to want to buy two chunks of unworked granite, one 3000 pounds and another 5000 pounds, is there any source for a price for this or do you have to make it up?

If the answer is make it up, I can deal with that.

The special materials section has cost per weight on mithril (500gp/lb) but nothing on the other materials.

Q 157:  It looks like Battle Jump will allow you to ignore a blocked charge line by simply leaping over the obstacles/enemies in the way and initiating your charge from a point in mid-air instead of where you started the round.  Does this work?
"We managed to make an NPC puke an undead monster."

According to the PHB, iron is worth 1 sp per pound, silver is worth 5 gp per pound, gold is worth 50 gp per pound, and platinum is worth 500 gp per pound.

For the granite example, if you're willing to be less specific about the type of stone and there's a cleric, druid, or wizard in your party, repeated castings of wall of stone and stone shape will get you whatever you like for free.

Mordekaiden's mansion probably.  Unless you can get in good with Io.

Sorry, forgot to mention it gotta have a pretty long duration [Days/CL being the best], but it's a start, thanks for the tip. But, why the "get in good with Io"?

Q160: What is the cheapest enchantment you can give a weapon? I'm talking down in the 100s.
[spoiler]Fighter: "I can kill a guy in one turn."
Cleric: "I can kill a guy in half a turn."
Wizard: "I can kill a guy before my turn."
Bard: "I can get three idiots to kill guys for me."

On a strange note, would anyone be put out if we had a post about people or events we can spare a thought for, or if its within their creed, a prayer for? Just a random thought, but ... hells I wouldn't have known about either Archangels daughter or Saeomons niece if I didn't happen to be on these threads.
Sounds fine to me.
probably over on "Off-topic".
might want to put a little disclaimer in the first post.

This is the Min/Max board. We should be able to figure out a way to optimize the POWER OF PRAYER(TM) that doesn't involve "Pazuzu, Pazuzu, Pazuzu".
