So, here's a question: if a spell is on your spells known list (such as from a ring of theurgy), can you take Extra Spell for that spell, since it is on your spell list? Then you take the ring off ... and the spell is still on your spell list, so it self-qualifies for the feat. Or am I just insane?

Doesn't Metamagic Effect work on spells cast from items? If so, UMD and a wand should work...
