telekinesis
« on: July 08, 2010, 12:02:04 AM »
Other than the ghost. Is there another race that has telekinesis at will? I am desperately wanting to play a MotuH but not really wanting to be a ghost. I have all books allowed and up to a +6 LA on one side of a gestalt build.

If anyone would know they would be here lol

Vrocks get it, but they're ECL 18.
I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle.  The book doesn't even exist!

Why would you even do this? It hurts my eyes and looks like you ate your keyboard before suffering an attack of explosive diarrhea.

If using Genesis to hide your phylactry, set it at -300 degrees farenheit.  See how do-gooders fare with a liquid atmosphere.

Not a race but maybe something of note for you:

It's debatable if Disciple of Mammon (BoVD) qualities with it's Steal ability, ECL 7 minimum. But it's telekinesis is rather... limited.

if you want to really break a campaign wide open with MOTUH (and probably make the DM throw a building at you) - get TK with wizard levels, and take sorcerer on the other side - Get TK as a spell in the spellbook at level 9 and as a known spell at level 10. along the way get arcane thesis (TK) at level 9, chain spell, practical metamagic (chain spell), and either easy metamagic (if allowed) or metamagic school focus - which allows you to cast chained TK as a 5th level spell.

your first MOTH level is level 10 (instead of wizard) - end result - at level 10 - you can violent thrust (barring items or other CL boosters) 13 300 LB objects for 12d6 each (so - 156d6), level 11 is more or less the same but you can also wield weapons but at level 12 you can wield 15 weapons at the same time and make a full attack with each of them (60 attacks per round).

combine with chained reached shrink item (through a rod?) on a lot of collosal weapons for extra cheese.

I think it is one of the SLA options for a Primordial Giant template. Put it on either an Eneko or a Half Giant to cut down on LA.

Nope, I'm pretty sure it's just levitate, invisibility, and see invisibility.

You could have a DM that puts these magical spikes in the game.  These spikes poke through your eyes and maybe your whole head but grant some sort of blindsight and a free action telekinesis effect each round.

Okay, well.... DM gave one of our foes those.  Of course upon killing him there were Will Saves (DC 30!!) to resist the Compulsion to wear them... er put them through my characters face.

Right, so probably not an option for you but your topic spurred me to wanting to share.

Cheers.

Or at least since Tolkien kicked the bucket, but I'm tired of hearing that comparison...

@ daken201:
REJOICE!
Blue Slaad have Telekinesis at will, 8HD and a +6 LA.
At Caster Level 8, so it's not a far stretch to assume Caster Level=Character Level.
I'm not sure on the technicalities though.

Yes, this is where he got the idea.
