At the implication of the markings on the floor, Zaneak put on an air of caution, for if whatever was ahead was able to take out the group that had been guarding this passage, they might be in trouble. He had Illiarven ease her pace some to allow the others to keep up easier, then they continued on.

"Something big and strong came through here, huh?"  Buurk smiles, gripping his greatsword tighter as they continue to follow the trail of destruction.

Zaneak nodded to Buurk's assessment. As they went farther down the passage he could tell the scent must have been getting stronger because Illiarven was becoming quite agitated.

At the end of the corridor there is another door shattered to pieces, you are sure you can hear faint unintelligible whispering as you travel towards it.

In the room beyond you can see a small girl, probably no older than 7 or 8 in a black dress that makes her look like a cupcake. She is sat in the center of a huge pool of blood and dismembered body parts though her clothes seem completely unsoiled by this, she is wearing a strange amulet around her neck that glows with a burning green light. Her eyes burn as orbs of the same light, they seem to look strait into your soul.

Soneleus takes flight, hovering above the door and loading the gun.

Buurk gives Soneleus and Zaneak a wary look.  "What is that?"  He holds his sword in front of himself defensively.

Illiarven issued forth a low growl at the sight of the carnage. Zaneak glanced around, "You are right it does seem quite unnatural." He studied the girl for a moment.

The amulet around her neck seems to be a magic item of some power and you get an odd sence of wrongness about the girl herself but otherwise all is as it seems.

how -1?
-2 from the weapon and -4 non proficiency vs +1 per 4 levels (+2 atm then) leaves it at -4
Even without the -2 from the weapon that's -2.
unless you are already taking your BAB and Dex mods into it but then it should be higher shouldn't it?

Zaneak's anger had simmered down somewhat at this time and he was now feeling uneasy about the whole situation. So, short of attacking her, he did the only thing he could think of, he called out to her, "Hello...did you, uh...happen to see what...transpired here?"

She looks up at you with a sort of creepy smile before uttering something unintelligible that began making the air around you vibrate with power.
"Zitalnak'hrasn'omniasa"

Bars of red energy formed into twisting words appear around you, they seem solid enough. After this she rises to her feet and pulls a scroll from somewhere in her dress which she flourishes infront of her before vanishing with a wave of green light.

DC 55 will save to leave the cage or effect anything outside it, otherwise it dissipates in 1 minute.

"Let's hope we never encounter her again." says Soneleus, wind swirling around him.

The room ahead of you contains many dismembered people. Something seems wrong about the bodies or parts of bodies in the room though.

The dead have equipment and uniforms of elite troops, they would have slaughtered you had you walked into the room yourselves. Their limbs seem to have been ripped from their sockets by a powerful force, probably magical.

"These were elite troops, Take their gear, it's probably better than ours." Says Soneleus, loading gear into his backpack.

You find:
Several damaged and unusable rifles
2 relatively intact masterwork breach loading rifles
1 Scoped breach loading rifle that seems to use the same ammuniton as widower.
3 powder horns
50 intact bullets
10 bullets that would fit in the widower (uncoloured)
1 bullet with a spiral of pulsating blue runes coming from its tip to its base that would fit in the widower.
5 ceremonial swords, rapiers that look good but arent intended for actual combat.
