And how do you deal Fire damage to him while he's inside an AMF?  With alchemist fire?
Shrink Item + lava. I actually have shrunken lava on a character I'm currently playing, so no I don't think it's unrealistic.
Searing Spell + Orb of Fire spells.

They don't/haven't, was the point. 3.5 is as dead as people not liking nice tits.

Sometimes, their tits (3.5) get enhancements (houserules), but that doesn't mean people don't like nice tits.

Though sometimes, the surgeon (DM) botches them pretty bad...

He was just asking about dealing fire damage inside an AMF.  Adding Searing Spell is just good form :p
I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle.  The book doesn't even exist!

Mine doesn't require spending any of the current day's resources, though. I can preshrink a bunch of them on my day off. Then I just pull small rocks out of my handy haversack, and drop them on the guy in the AMF, and they automatically expand into pools of lava. I can carry as many of these things as I want.

I could also have shrunken pools of acid, poison, etc, to deal with other things. I might not know exactly what the guy is immune to, so I could drop all of them just to be sure...  :D

Hmm... now I'm thinking that Quintessence + Psionic Minor Creation (Black Lotus Extract) + Shrink Item sounds like a combo for day off preparations. I should make a Cerebremancer who uses this. :D

Still doesn't work. AMF blocks all magic, whether it allows SR or no.
So you end up stuck in an endless loop, unable to act, forever.

In retrospect, much like Keanu Reeves.

With the exception of instantaneous conjuration creation effects, which is what the orb is.

I believe conjuration[creation] effects created outside the AMF work normally (as they are REAL objects.)

This does mean that RAW orbs can penetrate an AMF.

RAI? Who knows.

That's not what AMF says, though, unless instantaneous conjuration [creation] effects are "normal missiles", which I wouldn't qualify them as.

Yeah it is.

Quote from: SRD, Antimagic Field
Summoned creatures of any type and incorporeal undead wink out if they enter an antimagic field. They reappear in the same spot once the field goes away. Time spent winked out counts normally against the duration of the conjuration that is maintaining the creature. If you cast antimagic field in an area occupied by a summoned creature that has spell resistance, you must make a caster level check (1d20 + caster level) against the creature’s spell resistance to make it wink out. (The effects of instantaneous conjurations are not affected by an antimagic field because the conjuration itself is no longer in effect, only its result.)

Note that last sentence.

Isn't a wendigo incorporeal?  Could they even have bone armor grafted onto them?

Wendigos are not incorporeal.  They're as the base creature, but Fey type and Cold subtype.

Hm, goddamn parenthetical notations. I skimmed that paragraph because it seemed to be entirely about summoned creatures. Sorry about that.

Wait, if they're incorporeal they wink out inside an AMF.

Wait, really? That's just stupid. There are so many un-bodied things that are just that by their very nature in D&D.
Read, every day, something no one else is reading. Think, every day, something no one else is thinking. Do, every day, something no one else would be silly enough to do. It is bad for the mind to be always part of unanimity.

Mantle of the Fiery Spirit (Cleric 9th level and Druid 8th level spell) grants Fire subtype permanently.
Where might I find this spell (and the un-updated Icy Soul version)?

I hate the spell compendium.  It ridiculously nerfed tons of spells.  Some of them needed it; most didn't.

One example is Blade of Pain and Gnashing (might have the name wrong).  It's a Clr 2/ Sor/Wiz2 spell that is basically acts exactly like the Druid 2 Flame Blade, except it doesn't have typed damage (not fire damage, etc).  It deals 1d6+ 1/2 caster level damage, and lasts 1 min/level (in Libris Mortis), just like Flame Blade, but was nerfed to 1 round/level in SC.

That's probably because it doesn't have a damage type and therefore was so much better than Flame Blade. While nerfing removes nice tricks, you shouldn't hate nerfing just because you can't always see a reason for it. The writer's job is to keep the game balance, not to maintain your favorite cheap tricks.
