Not so much that I'm sick of him...I rather like the character.  It's just that I'm having rather more difficulty than I anticipated getting into it's head...amnesia, no sense of history and very little identity, and no real culture to speak of as it is a machine.  Not that I'm sick of it but more like I just don't have much to say.

It's my fault really, for not having thought far enough ahead or considered the group dynamics (such as they are).  I had originally planned to create a relationship with Agnak as someone who reminded Marc of its creators but right as I joined Agnak's player left, so...

I just haven't found a compelling reason to even be with the party aside from "tag along with the PCs" which is where I get the lost puppy feeling.

My plan is to address these issues in his replacement by focusing more on creating a culture and worldview from which to interact with.  In other words playing something a little more "human" and relatable.

@BP: the demons within 30ft get to make a DC 29 Will save or be shaken (Inspire Awe lasts 10 round until after Mael stopped sustaining it, there are a few rounds left). Or perhaps it's DC 27 like before - I don't know if the Perform check the DC is based on has to be rerolled every round.

Is there a map? I went back to the last one you posted, but it doesn't seem updated.

Oh, crap, I forgot that your fear was still on. Well, I'll roll the saves.

And I have to update the map, for exact positions. Sorry, I'm trying to work while doing too much D&D :).

Hey, there was no hurry, I was just pointing things out. :)

(I could tell you were having fun when you wrote about the Vrock's dance. Which Mael intends to end by - predictably - making one or more them flee.)

Ok, I sincerely hope Torgthen didn't get you all killed now. Well, not all, but a fight that starts with the squishies in a precarious situation might mean that some squishies will end up dead. I just hope your BFC or other things are badass enough to save you.

To come back on the topic of illusions: what happens if someone recognizes an illusion spell that Mael casts via Spellcraft? They get a save, they get a save with a +4 bonus, something else?
He has False Theurgy  :evillaugh so it won't happen right away but it might.

@TT: naughty indeed. He does not deny it - or at least I make that admission for him.

edit: I see you made a stealth edit about updating the map. You're naughty as well, BP! I was waiting for it to post...

Huh, for me an edit also brings up a "new" display in the game board. So...

Yes, well, I hid the edit in the spoiler, I guess.

Ah, ok, I've given up on email notifications, they just clog my mailbox. But I'll pay attention to that in the future, and rather make a new post.

Hmm...more happened than I thought in that post...I think your reading problems are spreading BP!

I do indeed hope I kill none of us, eliminating a threat seemed like a good idea at the time.

Except it was helpless!

The previous fight was pretty much just a meat-fest - dangerous meat, but still. These are not as meaty (outside of raw HP, of which they have plenty), but still a different calibre. We'll see, this one could go either way.

Thistle I think we'll need the MARC one last time.

By the way, I've completely lost track of anything approaching what the proper initiative order is.

Play by Post can do that.  Also, it's a pain to keep hunting through the thread for battle maps.  Can you either repost it each time you edit it, or create a battlemap topic where we can go directly for updates?

In any case, how can the Marc be of service?  Hot Sticky Napalm?  Slow them? Charge them?  Hey!  Since I'm going to retire him anyways who cares about rocks falling on him?  Should I just unceremoniously fall on top of them?  :D

I do have to say that I love being a BFC sometimes...

A map thread would be awesome

For now it was helpless. The moment it stands back up it is an active threat again.

Yeah, I don't think that is really getting used...or if it is, BP is just fitting actions in their proper order after they have been posted.

Map thread would be full of win, even if it is only one post that you edit.

I should've asked that earlier, but: does the chimera dies due to the CDG?

A map thread, that' a neat idea. I'll do that.

And really, how can the bulette NOT die? A Fort save vs 120 or so? AND it's at about -50HP :).

Do your worst. We really need a mechanic for falling intentionally on top of someone. What do you guys suggest. Ref save? Attack roll for the faller?

Also, even though a new fight started, the old one is over. The following XP awards are handed out, and these are PRIVATE to the recipient, please!

Mael
2000XP, to Azur, obviously.
Torgthen
MARCV
Doyle
2000XP
Daelric
3200XP, I think that levels you exactly, right?
Umm.. since you are an automatic caster, you can feel your mojo rise immediately :) - at your discretion.

And Cat, just so I remember, also gets the same, unfortunately it doesn't let him level, yet.
