When one of my buddies got his first girlfriend, instead of getting "the talk" from his parents, his dad simply walked into the room one day when he and his girlfriend were just sitting there talking, tossed them a box of condoms, and left.

So now the question is, are we the internet the metaphorical dad, or the box of condoms?

Except that I don't chase cars, the car came up to me. Which would of course make the dog even more confused.

Typically, the car coming to the dog results in a flattened dog.

Literally speaking, of course. I'm not sure how it works out metaphorically.

Incidentally, I'm not purposefully trying to play Mag off as a dick... but I'm sort of working with that goblin/human culture clash. He's very smart and charismatic enough to know what he could say, but that would not be fitting for a goblin of his stature (no pun intended). Pragmatic would be a good word to describe him.

I think we're all getting that. It's called ROLEplaying :).

Oh yeah, that was what this game was focused on. Don't worry, Surreal, you're perfectly fine. I have to say I loved this situation, it was a great moral dilemma, which is what, well, I would often prefer to be challenged with compared to just beating stuff down.

I was going to be a bit harsher with his words, but decided that while he was an impatient grump, he wouldn't be utterly tactless (well, unless Lyrna were bawling her eyes out, in which case Mag would just take that as a case of human weakness and see no reason to hold back his words)

I obviously can't argue with your reasoning - this is your character, and you've been playing him very well, even though this sub-quest is not something where he can really shine.

On another note, especially to my new players, who have not yet posted their characters: If you feel that lately I haven't given you enough support with your characters (or to the current players with the game), then please come forward, but also accept my apologies in advance. I've also been busy these past few weeks, and it gets hard to give everyone just the amount of attention he needs.

I've been crazy busy, too. I'm sorry I haven't gotten my character sheet posted yet. I was at a huge convention over the 4th of July weekend, and I got sick this last weekend (probably an outpouring of the stress I've been accumulating these last couple weeks).

Gotta say Dither, it looks like there are a couple guys in your E6 game who are really stretching your generosity with your "anything goes"...

Yeah, they really are. I'm tempted to throw the thing out as is and try it over again as a 4e game so I can get my bearings in that system.

Ok, so Smudgy will be suitably distracted until this weekend. If you don't get in at least one makeout session with this girl, I will be very disappointed in you ;)

Dither... edit: nevermind, I'm just going to respond in your game thread

Edit: Here lies the personal life of Smudgy that he didn't want displayed on the internet because he's embarrassed about it and doesn't want it available for just any schmuck to read (You guys were fine). Now, back to your scheduled post.

...I also just noticed we got more HP and a feat. I'll have to change that.  I'll post soon, I promise.

Oh yeah, and Orientation was lame, but that wasn't a surprise.

Still interested, still mired in RL stuff. Things have been hectic at work lately, severely limiting my ability to post.
