But, no powerful build then.

What is your stance on homebrew classes?

If the +0 LA lesser tiefling could take the tiefling/half-fiend transition class, then I'll totally grab some automail and steampunk the hell out of an anarchistic insane terrorist who likes tempest cannons, summoned weapons of the siege variety, and bombs. Mad bomber tiefling! Probably some sort of crazed alchemist who likes Flames of Malebolge combo stuff.

What starting level/etc?

ECL 5 and im perfectly fine for people to use homebrew classes but i want to have a look at them first, anything that isnt already covered by a class and isnt more powerful than cleric druid or wizard will be fine.

I had someone try and play a spontaneous divine caster that used the wizards spell list before now and knew all the spells on it...

What is your stance on whether psicrystals get feats, how they're replaced if destroyed, what their BAB is, and all that stuff?

And what are you thinking for point buy/stat generation? I am actually nearly finished making this character, except for skill points, etc.
Bumpalumpa

If you give the thumbs up on psicrystal feats, I probably plan to give mine Mindsight, Martial Stance, and Martial Study. Or maybe something with Soulmelds.

A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.
...thanks

And what's your stance on third party stuff?  No, I don't have anything specific in mind yet but I have a few ideas and am wanting something awesomely steampunk.   :D

Psycrystals should get feats, don't see why not.

Nanshork i will have to direct you to two posts up:

ECL 5 and im perfectly fine for people to use homebrew classes but i want to have a look at them first, anything that isnt already covered by a class and isnt more powerful than cleric druid or wizard will be fine.

I had someone try and play a spontaneous divine caster that used the wizards spell list before now and knew all the spells on it...

Not just classes though

I was just making sure that your stance for both was the same.   :P

Have you ever looked at Iron Kingdoms?  They have some nice Steampunk stuff.

I just saw iron man 2. Could I play a war-forged with mounted weapons?

If you want, all the machinery and components can be built into a warforged. Once i get the final few items up there you can have hand blasters and a jetpack if you really wanted it.

Currently writing up Electroforge golems actually.

Just took at a look at some Dragonmech books and I like them better than Iron Kingdoms.  Very nice, some things in there I'd like to play.

Littha, Dragonmech definetely has some rules that go along with what you're already using.  If you get a copy of the books, flip to the Steam Powers.  You start with something, say a steam power to generate flame.  Then you add the Amplifier steam power to increase the damage and the Billows steam power to make the flame affect a cone, and voila.

I 100% want to play a Dragonmech class.

I only grabbed the first of the books and while its similar it has a more interpretational stance to it. Ii like each of my parts to have definable rules etc but it dose look interesting and i might steal some of their components to convert.

Is it okay if I play a class out of the book?  Looking at either Steamborg or Coglayer.

Id prefer not to use their system of steam powers really, i am currently writing some classes for this campaign anyway that have similar sorts of abilities if you want to use those.

Then I'll wait and see what you come up with.   :)

Dragonborn warforged + Draconic Tail + Prehensile Tail + armbow = War Machine.

On behalf of Phaedrus, I will ask if psicrystals can take flaws and traits.

Tier 5: An expert cartographer or a decent marksman.
Tier 4: An expert marksman.

Tier 2: Someone with teleportation, mind control, time manipulation, intangibility, the ability to turn into an exact duplicate of anything, or the ability to see into the future with perfect accuracy.

I don't think psycrystals should take flaws, they probably won't be restricted at all by them in exchange for an extra feat...
