Generally, the solution to 'my character died' shouldn't be 'how can I smash this campaign?', but if you insist, there are a great many ways to smash a campaign. Wizard, Cleric, Druid, Wizard again, StP Erudite.. hell, the tier 2 classes can smash campaigns, too, if they try.

So the question becomes, how do you want to smash the campaign?

..... 50 points buy?  :twitch

fucking awesome.

anyways, wizard/incantatrix is what you are looking for. that, or you could abuse my MS+SC+UM combo; level 7 is where the caster level really starts to come together.

QFT.  Check out our insane CL builds, that thread is full of nasty surprises.  Bearsarebrown I think managed to hit 6 digits pre-epic for a CL, even.

My response wasn't to smash the campaign... the DM issued a challenge to me.  I'm really good at min/maxing skirmish damage scouts.

The campaign is designed to go fully into epic levels.

Incanatrix isn't in the approved books, unfortunately  :(  I've looked through hundreds of builds the past few days, but can't find one that falls within our scope.

I really want to smash it hardcore... like full on cheese.  The DM asked for it, but I'm not skilled with min/maxing casters at all.

Again, I thank you for your help.

Incantatrix ain't part of the allowed sources, so try Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil instead. Alternatively, the CL build is mostly within allowed sources.

I really don't advocate smashing campaigns unless there's previous history there, but that's how you do it.

but OP, beware: there is a good chance, that after you write up the character, he is going to say "thanks!" and use it as the BBEG. make sure this isn't the case first.

Thanks again everyone for the help.  I'm really looking forward to what you come up with.

I'm not worried about the DM taking the character.  He's just not like that.

So basically this is just a fun attempt to see if it is even possible to have a playable cheesed out wizard. I wish you luck then. Also abrupt jaunt and celerity are good for the character's continued existence.

More of my DM killed my character and then said, "Too bad you can't make stronger characters"
I said, "Think so?"
He said, "Do your worst... I dare you to think you can blow up my world."
I laughed, thought about it, came back to these forums... and voila... here we are.

Fool's errand, imo.

If he played his world as an arbitrary uncaring all-powerful god that didn't care what happened to his world so long as it fell within the printed rules and materials you might have a chance.

In the end, everything you can do that could smash his campaign is subject to whether or not he will allow you to do it.

Contact Other Plane?  If he feels like being a douche he can simply have it fail with no explanation... and that's just for starters.
Wish loops?  Extraplanar beings begin hunting you in your sleep for all the binding you've been doing.  And they know you're asleep because the DM told them you were.
You need a particular magic item?  You can't seem to find it in any of the shops.
You want to craft it yourself?  Too bad, you don't know how.

Hell at the very least every fight he could have two NPC's with the Arcane Mastery feat who's sole purpose is to ready dispel magic to counterspell everything you do.

If he allows Races of Stone, a DMM heighten Cleric->Shadowcraft Mage is lots of fun :D

Edit: are flaws allowed?

Apparently your DM is meaner than mine Tony.

Yes, flaws are allowed.  No, he's gave a final ruling that Races of Stone will not be allowed.

As long as the spell Lesser Restoration exists, you don't need to worry about sleeping.

If you were a learned spellcaster, wouldn't you still need 8 hours of rest to study, and a spont caster would need 8 hours of rest to regain their spells per day?  Just curious how you would get around that.

Arcane only. Divine casters don't require rest to prepare spells.
