Initiative (1d20+4=21)

Mustave stands about 20 feet away from the manhole and draws his crossbow as a move action.  As a standard action, he casts Mage Armor.

Bhu,
What all did I get for weapons?  I'd requested 2-4 daggers and a crossbow.  Do I have any daggers as well?
Well, this round I'm casting Mage Armor, so my action will be spent.  When next round rolls around, I'll hold if nothing has showed up.

Bartholomeow gladly dons his black robes and still refuses to take a weapon--thought gladly accepts everything else--before entering the sewers. Once the trouble begins, he politely refrains from cursing and instead mutters some spookity magic words. If undead are involved, he wants to see them before they see him. With his arcane might, the fight may be over before it starts.

Sir Shadow: 24
RobbyPants: 21
Jojolagger: 20
Nanshork, Solara, Worm thingies: 15
Littha: 11
Nervous Bob: 10
Flay, Ruam: 8
VennDygrem: 7
Radmelon: 5

RobbyPants casts Mage Armor
Nanshork, Solara hold (if you do this your initiative becomes 15 now)
Jojolagger ducks below
The sewers are crawling and infested with 20 some foot long giant worm things! They're friggin' everywhere!
Sir Shadow casts Nerveskitter (I'm assuming yourself is the target inform me if I'm wrong)

On 15 an oily black wormlike monstrosity about 20' llong and 2' thick heaves itself over the lip of the manhole.  It smells as foul as anything any of you have ever encountered.  It has no real discernable features other than a large maw surrounded by hooked tentacles.  Since Nanshork and Solara delayed and they have a higher Dex mod than the baddies they still go first.  Y'all may makes attackin' rolls.

Bartholomeow squints at the creature, trying to see if he can recall seeing it in one of his textbooks--more pointedly whether or not it is undead.

If it is undead.
He will cast Command Undead and order it to 'Halt'. He will then tell everyone not to attack it because it is under his control.
If it is not undead.
He will reveal what information he gets from the Knowledge check to the rest of the party and hold until he feels he can be more useful.
