A Beguiler with Divine Power and Wraithstrike???

Something along these lines may be a way for me to avoid the temptation of going Swiftblade.

I can in this particular campaign gain Wraithstrike as a 3rd level spell via Eclectic/Advanced Learning. 

I can also gain Divine Power as a 4th level spell via Extra Spell (as per how we play it).

I figure those should be plenty to allow me to be a competent Melee combatant in a pinch especially along with my other spells. 

I figure I can get Power Attack if needed and even Leap Attack from items or later I can even do something as simple as Arcane Strike.

Does this sound like a decent idea?

Yes. If you can get Heroics to throw on combat feats to boost power attack, it could be downright nasty. You could turn yourself into Mr. McMelee the Destroyer whenever you feel like it without even having to do much to your actual build.

The other direction of was considering was 6 levels of Swiftblade and using one of my Eclectic/Advanced Learnings for Celerity.  Of course with the build above I can still get Celerity so... Swiftblade would not be needed.

With wraithstrike, divine power, haste, displacement and greater mirror image you're a pretty decent gish. The only issue is going to be you lack of hps with those d6 hit dice.
