Thanks for pointing me to Deviant-art, they at least have a search function Q92Which spells are similar to magic missile and Scorching ray in that they produce multiple missiles in one turn? Preferably auto-hitting, or ranged touch.

It originally appeared in Magic of Faerun, but I think was reprinted in Spell Compendium. It might not have been a touch attack, though.
