Those changes look like they will make the monk a better front line combatant and will give them better defenses. You might want to add something to make the monk less likely to get hit, possibly some sort of miss chance do to their speed.

Not a bad idea... Maybe 10% mischance per 15 ft traveled in that round?

Going to go ahead and take a moment to link to my monk buff as it is pretty much spot on to what you have there, just expanded.

Differences are not nerfing the SU abilities (I buff them, but replace DD), giving miss chance in place of higher init, FH in place of buffed self heal, and lacking the buff to the weapon enchant.

In addition, mine gives increased mobility and speed, flight, better slow fall and ki strike, /enc stunning fist, various other goodies, and alternate options.

As far as I see, I didn't nerf the Su-stuff. I just made it usable more times per day. Thanks for the link, though.

Looks like a decent quick-fix for the monk. It kind of reminds me of the Tome Monk, but without the uber fighting styles.
[spoiler]
A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.
...thanks

Ah, sorry. I thought you meant you had made all the continuos ones per day, including Ki Strike and the poison immunity and such, which sounded strange to me.

Oh, I see where the confusion arose. Like I said, it was a quick write-up.

Why not just go with the Pathfinder version, adjust the skills somewhat, and take out the fact that Flurry of Blows is based on the TWF tree?

Monks never wear armor. That's the whole point of them being a monk. Even the swordsage loses their light armor proficiency to gain unarmed strike progressions.

A couple of things I might have added is Superior Unarmed Strike being a bonus feat at 6th, and maybe adjusting the monk Ki pool so that it did a few of the things that their PrC versions could do (ie element damage, silver, etc). I mean, "lawful" is pretty useless for something to get past DR, but doing an extra 2d6 against chaotic creatures is nice too. Regardless, having options that they can choose from would be nice. It is a POOL after all.
I reject your reality, and substitute my own.
