Fate/Stay Night - All Evil of the World Too obvious for the Blood of Vol, but may fit just as well for the Big Reveal of a dastardly plot within the Church of the Silver Flame.
Play it when the Lolipope's advisor enters for effect.
For BEST effect, have some cheerful upbeat music while Jaela is in the room, only to switch soundtrack when he enters.
To clarify, do you mean whenever the advisor enters, or only when his true intentions are revealed? The former would probably be for comedic effect.
It's all about vision and making reality conform to your vision. By dropping a fucking house on it.

The former. :D

And the things it reflects in, like water or glass, can all be broken, right? Since the moon you see in the sky is just being reflected in the heavens, if you tear open the heavens it's easy to break it~"

Dal Quor or any other creepy place: Earthbound's Cave of the Past

The Mournland, a post-apocalyptic place: Chrono Trigger's Ruined World

Sharn, whose spires touch the clouds: Chrono Trigger's Corridors of Time

Any sufficiently epic area: Chrono Trigger's Undersea Palace

It always seems like the barrels around here have something in them.

Sharn, whose spires touch the clouds: Chrono Trigger's Corridors of Time
I'm not sure it really fits. Zeal is a tragic utopia, Sharn is a city of intrigue.
My work
The tier system in a nutshell:
Tier 6: A cartographer.
Tier 5: An expert cartographer or a decent marksman.
Tier 4: An expert marksman.
Tier 3: An expert marksman, cartographer and chef who can tie strong knots and is trained in hostage negotiation or a marksman so good he can shoot down every bullet fired by a minigun while armed with a rusted single-shot pistol that veers to the left.
Tier 2: Someone with teleportation, mind control, time manipulation, intangibility, the ability to turn into an exact duplicate of anything, or the ability to see into the future with perfect accuracy.
Tier 1: Someone with teleportation, mind control, time manipulation, intangibility, the ability to turn into an exact duplicate of anything and the ability to see into the future with perfect accuracy.
They're both at the pinnacle of technology for that period of time...though you're right, it's not going to be the best match.

Not really "pinnacle of technology" any more than Washington DC - the skyscrapers are possible due to a manifest zone, not enchantment. Cyre is a closer fit for Zeal, though Eberron has a lot of collapsed civilisations.

*casts Greater Animate Thread*

Let's bump with some more musics...

Battle against Xen'drik Giants: Breath of Fire 4 - A Warring God

Any village inside a forest: Lineage 2 Ost: Forest Calling

Another not so civilized village: Final Fantasy 7 - Cosmo Canyon

EDIT: just stumbled on a random version of Cosmo Canyon, and it is.... much better than the original, IMO....

I like to include music in PbP games I play, so this topic intrigues me. Let me see....
Green Bird works well for a temple of the Flame.
Space Lion is a track I actually used for background music on a lightrail ride.
And to round off the Bebop, Tank! works really well for any urban chase/running/fast movement bit.

Unsolved Mysteries Theme is a great sewer/creepy exploration song.
Final Fantasy XII-The Strike of a Blade for setting off on an airship adventure.
Raw Breath of Danger for when the party's about to unveil a creepy BBEG. It also works for Dal Quor.
I reach for Choked whenever swarms start crawling out of walls.

I'll post more when I'm at my normal computer.

Solo on Essentials

One Thousand Tears Of A Tarantula (Dengue Fever) reminds me of the Mournland - not of the wasteland aspect so much as the horrifying atrocity it brings to mind.
Pretty much anything performed by Chicha Libre would be appropriate for Xendrik (Peruvian style), but Mi Plato De Barro seems particularly good for the hubbub of Stormreach.
Xoriat? Sit Down By The Fire (The Pogues).
Either Power Bom (sic), Platinum, or Final Count Down (all Remastered Tracks Rockman Zero) would do for a high-speed rail combat. (Hell, Platinum is from the second game's rail stage.)
In the same vein, Through the Lightning works for airship scenes.
Mandy Goes to Med School (Dresden Dolls, can't find a version that's not soft) reminds me of the Blood of Vol. The church itself isn't quite so...perky, but its doctrine is all about the underground and shady "medicine".
