[spoiler]Okay, let's have some Superior Invisibility on everyone. As of SpC, it's an eight-level spell. It won't help against demons with True Seeing, but we might as well avoid bumping into the weenies as best as we can, yes? :D RJ and Marlowe don't really need it, but I imagine everyone else might find it helpful. This way, Cade can also Stealth in big form. At CL 20, it should last 20 minutes, so it's best to get it up when everyone's ready to leave.[/spoiler]

After picking Shlurshech's brain telepathincly for a few moments, Xuuvosic rattles off a list of effects for Sammael to spam on everyone. When the imp is finally done, barring objections, Xuuvosic teleports, using the pit trick, to a visible area as close as possible to the center of the ruined city.

After a seemingly endless stream of buffs, the imp finally finishes and says "Unless there is something else, I'll be going. Good luck, and don't forget that letter!" After waiting briefly for any reply, he vanishes in a puff of purple smoke.

After everyone has climbed into the pit, Xuuvosic picks it up and teleports into the ancient ruins. He's never seen more splendid rubble. It looks like large portions of many of the buildings here were made out of precious metals and gemstones, no doubt via the power of Wish. Surprisingly some buildings appear mostly intact. A dull hum fills the air, and huge gouts of energy occasionally arc between whats left of the buildings occasionally. The wild calls of other demons can be heard in the distance, and the whole place smells of brimstone and ash. As he orients himself, a couple of quasits fly by overhead, and he sees the massive, frog-like form of a hezrou pass by in the distance.

At an unnatural angle, Xuuvosic sticks his head through the pit's surface. "RJ, Marlowe get your asses up here. There's plenty of motherfuckers around that might decide to pick a fight. I'd rather not get into shit before we even get to the fucking portal."

If the two decide to comply, Xuuvosic climbs into the pit.

[spoiler]Amongst the buffs, everyone has Find the Path. I propose that Marlowe's be set for the portal. RJ's, as well as a few others, should be set to Chokes-on-Jello's quarters in the demon encampment. Ideas for other locations?[/spoiler]

Hidden, Ris-Janna replies as if Marlowe had asked what color the sky is. The invisibility's just a redundancy... going through the shadows is still better. Avoid everything that moves... if it doesn't move... don't touch it anyway. We'll just have to find a path as we go. Better stay apart too... like sixty feet or so.

The spell on Marlowe directs him to the North, past a mostly intact building and towards a large pile of rubble. As he grows nearer to it, he sees that bones literally carpet the ground around the rubble. There are so many they'd even threaten to impede his movement... if it weren't for the Freedom of Movement spell guiding his steps. And then he does stumble... and he realizes that his invisibility, and all the other many enchantments laid upon him, are no longer there...

Getting no response, Marlowe creeps forward into the magic-free zone, heading in the general direction the spell had been guiding him along before he entered the field.

The spell seemed to be directing him towards the ruins of a building that looks to be mostly a pile of rubble now, save for one section of wall that still juts into the sky and towers over what's left of the rest of it. It looks to be made of a green stone as he approaches it. As Marlowe draws nearer to the pile of rubble, Ris Janna hears a clattering and sees several of the old weapons that litter the ground in the area around her lift themselves from the ground and fly towards Marlowe.

[spoiler]Everyone roll initiative. And what is R-J's Spot and Listen including items? She's still not quite inside the Dead Magic zone yet when this happens.

12 random weapons fly towards Marlowe. I'm going to just use 1d6 for damage, instead of rolling a bunch of random dice. What's his flat-footed AC with no magic items or spells?
