All the above statements are true in some sense, false in some sense, meaningless in some sense, true and false in some sense, true and meaningless in some sense, false and meaningless in somesense, and true and false and meaningless in some sense.

Huzzah! Now to see how we can find some of the old, dead links on here...

A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.

nice find  :clap

If you stop ignoring 289 pages telling what the intent is to stretch "more power" in your own god complexion of your interpretation trumps all to cover ability adjustments from aging then I will ignore a quarter page of rules that exist within a sidebar.
I think in this case the grammar is less important than whether the Str and Dex bonus provided to your created undead scales.

Wow... if you poke around in there, you can get back to an old version of the Handy Links thread... and most of the links in it actually still work!

Some really old stuff actually still works.

We should add this to the current handy links on the char op board.

Heck, I'm tempted to just wipe out my current handy links on 339 and replace it with a link to that archive page.

Some Handy Links for CO Work (WotC 339 version) - a compilation of links for base/prestige class handbooks, tactics, spellcasting, character builds, D&D databases, etc.
Archived version of the above with working links

The Mango Index - a giant index for all things D&D and where to find them
The Mango List Reborn! - rehosted by KellKheraptis

Lists of Stuff - listing of class features etc and how to get them, etc. sort of like above but a little more specific and sorted by category
Polymorph, Wildshape and Shapechange, oh my! (comparison charts) - side-by-side comparison of all the various form altering abilities
Alternative Class Features
alternative ways to get class skills

I'd personally suggest retrieving and backing up anything you love.
Reposting is the only way to be sure what happens to the archives.

"Just what do you think the moon up in the sky is? Everyone sees that big, round shiny thing and thinks there must be something round up there, right? That's just silly. The truth is much more awesome than that. You can almost never see the real Moon, and its appearance is death to humans. You can only see the Moon when it's reflected in things. And the things it reflects in, like water or glass, can all be broken, right? Since the moon you see in the sky is just being reflected in the heavens, if you tear open the heavens it's easy to break it~"

Very true.  Wasn't there a thread early after the conversion that was gathering various old threads and also noting which ones were lost?

Reposting or backing up many of them in some form is probably the best idea.

mmm Kay ... I found that psly4mne's Monty is still White Screen of Death. That sucks.

But this does give a time reference for this ~snapshot, of shortly before the gleemax changeover to the new edition.
Of course there are some individual dates buried in there, which would truly date this.
Old CO had taken a dive at that point, and Meg had this board up and running.

So ... this just leaves some limited WSoD threads. (still happy)

d'oh was kinda hoping to go over their old monk/bard prc challenges they did.

some of the ideas that were created were truely brilliant.
