Hmm... I'd forgotten about that feat. I'll have to look at that again. It might come in handy for the undead druid swarmshifter in a game that's just starting up in the PbP area. :D

That's an awesome feat. Thanks much for that.

I love how it says it doesn't help you use magic items if you couldn't before. Um, okay.

Q103: Anyone have a link to the "Guide to dealing with Steves"?  I fear such a great guide may be lost to 339.
I have the pdf on my laptop. I can email it to you when I fire it up next, if. You would like.

Sometimes, their tits (3.5) get enhancements (houserules), but that doesn't mean people don't like nice tits.

Though sometimes, the surgeon (DM) botches them pretty bad...
Best metaphor I have seen in a long time.  I give you much fu.

Oh, I've got the PDF too, I was just wondering if there was a link that still worked.  There are several questions around here where I think the therapy within would be the best answer.
I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle.  The book doesn't even exist!

Q79 If you are polymorphed into a form which has reach, can you attack someone in an antimagic field? Assuming your reach is greater than the radius of the field.

Q81 When you PAO into high Int form, does that Int become your base Int? As in would you add the stat points from leveling to it or only ones you would gain later? What about the bonus from Tomes/Wishes? Would you add that to your new forms Int?

Thanks for your answers

Correct.  Even the MM2 3.5 Update lists the LA as "-".  This means it's actually supposed to not be used by players, which is strange when you consider that they spell out how a player could make use of it.

Maybe they intend it to be used on cohorts/familiars/zombie minions?

I had a player in my last campaign spellstich himself. ...it was interesting, to say the least. he did it at the same time he became a necropolitan. word of advice: corpse crafters who make themselves undead tend to rock.

I would probably apply LA based on the creature's WIS score; something like:
- up to 10 = +1
- 11-14 = +2
- 15-18 = +3
- 19+ = +4
I'm thinking that this may be a little steep, but it can get 6th level spells -- that's a 12th level sorcerer!

I would say no, though I have nothing to back that up, nor do I have any idea what that would look like.

IIRC, the only thing that you would add to your new form is that which you gain from that point on -- it's all about the order of operations, so to speak. (this is the way I've done it, but have no idea if this is actually RAW).

If you stop ignoring 289 pages telling what the intent is to stretch "more power" in your own god complexion of your interpretation trumps all to cover ability adjustments from aging then I will ignore a quarter page of rules that exist within a sidebar.
I think in this case the grammar is less important than whether the Str and Dex bonus provided to your created undead scales.

Q 115a Shapeshift druids. They gain an attack and damage bonus equal to 1/4 their druid level, but it doesn't have the usual "to a minimum of 1" like it normally does in a lot of examples. Can this be assumed that this should have it as well?

Q 115b It's already been determined that while Natural Spell can not work with this druid variant, Surrogate Spellcasting from Savage Species. What about Multi-Attack? Does it still work with this version? Is it even necessary considering only the Ferocious Slayer transformation has two claws and a bite?

Q 115c These are the dead level variants that a regular druid gets. http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/cwc/20061013a Would having them at 7th and 11th level instead, make the class broken at all?

Nope.  The "minimum 1" thing is usually in relation to stat modifiers (gain a bonus equal to your charisma modifier, minimum 1).  This is different.  If it were minimum 1, then it would be the same from level 1 to 7.  Instead, it's just +1 bonus per four levels.  You can feel free to house rule it of course.

The dead level stuff doesn't do much.  Druids are overpowered for many reasons, but those aren't part of it.

That's kind of the point with the Shapeshifter. The druid itself is really powerful, hence why in later versions its spellcasting ability got nerfed to that of a wizard's, and it's wildshape per day got lowered, at least until lvl 20 when it got it at will.

If it's 1/4 the level, and it doesn't actually gain anything until 4th, why not just state that? It's like any other numbers besides 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, and so on are divisible by 4 anyways. And when it gains "magic" fang for free at 4th, it now makes sense. :P
