15 fleshrakers.
Jesus wept.

well, they're unadvanced. not that great at level 20.

BUT WE CAN BUFF THEM.

also, a single level of tamer of animals could grant us 40 HD animal companions(if we focus on our spellcasting class). as in druid 19/ToM 1. there, 10 fleshrakers. AND WE CAN BUFF THEM. and we have spellcasting to do it.

there is a feat somewhere that doubles your 1st-level starting gold -- so just take the max for what you can find, and double it (that's still an ass-load of gold for a 1st-level character)
Wouldn't happen to know what that is, would you?
The version of Merchantile background in PGtF gives +300.

IIRC, aristocrats have the highest starting gold.

Too continue with the theme, how many (Warbeast) Fleshrakers can you buy for that? :P

Assuming max starting gold? Only one, actually, since they're 4 HD (making a Warbeast version cost 400 gp).
However, a first level Aristocrat could have one as his pet even without MB.

That is a great resource, one I don't recall ever seeing. Thanks for linking it.

I used to have it on my handy links at 339, but for some reason the link is completely missing now... grrr, stupid 339.

Q 35: Is it possible to aquire an Extrodinary Ability through feats or other munchkinging?
A player once asked me if there was any way to make a Tarrasque more evil... 3 sessions later he was stoned with D20s as the PC led an exidus out of the path of a Dire Tarrasque of Legendary Wonder.

well, there is "extraordinary wild shape" from MoMF.  what specifically are you looking for?

Q36
do we have a handbook (or something) for savage progressions?  i.e., for stuff that has not already been published?

Several reasons...
- the post size limit is changed, so I can't even fit everything in without massive pruning or reorganizing
- links seem to drop for no reason
- tons of dead links/white page of death
- etc

It has pretty much sapped any desire I had left to maintain my handy links :(

Aristocrats start with 6d8*10 starting wealth. Which is less than the 1d4*1000 they started with in 3.0

They don't/haven't, was the point. 3.5 is as dead as people not liking nice tits.

Sometimes, their tits (3.5) get enhancements (houserules), but that doesn't mean people don't like nice tits.

Though sometimes, the surgeon (DM) botches them pretty bad...

Q37: How do position shifting spells interact with mounted characters? It seems pretty clear that if I Benign Transposition a character on a mount with a character on the ground, the mount doesn't go with him, but what about Slide? More importantly, what about casting Slide on the mount? Does the rider go with, or the mount slide out from under the rider?

It would only affect the targetted creature, not it's mount/rider.

yeah -- they destroyed what was a work of art, and one of the greatest D&D resources on the net.
There is no way that anyone could reasonably salvage what they have done.  :ahem

Q 37

Is there a spell or other ability that allows you to teleport an object to you from somewhere without needing LoS or LoE? Preferably, one that works on things other than weapons.

That and the charm bracelet from the DMG that allows you to key different people to the different charms, and then summon them to you.  Just make sure the hireling always wears the object you want to come with him.

That works nicely, thanks. Expensive, but I don't need it for a game anyway. I have more nefarious purposes in mind. :smirk
