Then why the heck aren't you just taking as many levels of the ghost savage progression as possible (last link in sig)?

It's seriously awesome.

Just go kobold warblade 20//psion 10/soul manifester 10 (sharing powers and soulmelds a la The Big Guy is With Me).

NOBODY EXPECTS THE SPANISH KOBOLD INQUISITION!

I dare anyone to find a hole in that logic.

I'm already playing a ghost in a campaign and I really don't want to play the same character

My DM doesn't like it when I Kobold things up

Well, a sharn (anuroch, the empire of shade) makes an excellent beatstick.  Or Gish.  Or Primary Caster.  Or skillmonkey.

There's pretty much nothing they can't do, actually.

My DM ruled that LA applies to both sides, so I need some more help with a beatstick

Any suggestions?

Factotum could be good.  It has int synergy and grants extra standard actions.

If your DM will go for it, warhulk gives strength boosts without LA.
