Spell Schools and Druid Spells!
« on: March 11, 2010, 03:41:49 PM »
Did some scripting to make this work. For those that don't understand what that thing in the code block is, these are the results:

abjuration: 57 spells
conjuration: 166 spells
divination: 40 spells
enchantment: 15 spells
evocation: 97 spells
illusion: 7 spells
necromancy: 37 spells
transmutation: 290 spells

Hope this helps in case you want to choose school-specific caster level boosters and the like.

sweet dude.
(don't play casters much, but at least I now know where to find such a resource -- thanks).

If you stop ignoring 289 pages telling what the intent is to stretch "more power" in your own god complexion of your interpretation trumps all to cover ability adjustments from aging then I will ignore a quarter page of rules that exist within a sidebar.
I think in this case the grammar is less important than whether the Str and Dex bonus provided to your created undead scales.

Once again, conjuration and transmutation come out on top.

I;m surprised about evocation being 3rd.

I would have expected abjuration

Very nice.

I got curious about the Illusion spells.

Beastmask
Creekling Cacophony
Phantasmal Disorientation
Screen of Heat
Shadow Landscape
Shifting Paths
Woodland Veil

You don't see these used much.   :lol

Hey, Creaking Cacophony isn't bad. My Druid uses it to basically auto-empower his Sorcerer teammate's sonic blasting spells. And Shadow Landscape is badass, even if it isn't particularly useful.

I will agree with you there, it is one of my favorite spells from a flavor standpoint.

I'll start with wizards and clerics. I've done the list for hexblades, which is in the handbook.
Note that i'm using this site, which may not be updated with everything.

neither me. nor does the fact that there are more evocation spells than conjuration, actually, seeing as how much wotc loved that school.

because using evocation for that would make it less of an obvious choice for banning.
