your DM is a cunt (what else is new?).  go pick up eschew materials.  use TK or mage hand to rob a jewelery store.
That's what I told the wizard, but the DM reminded us that it's only good for components less than 1 gp. He'll take it at 6th level when he gets a bonus feat. But since he's "good" there'll be no robbing a store though unless we actually want him to perform the TPK he's been threatening us with for a while.

find thieves who have robbed or will rob (wether through their own choice or not) a jewelery store, and kick their asses. return 90% of jewelery to store, whilst claiming your 10% finder's fee.
I'll keep that in mind. I won't say no to that though. I'll just be cautious as to how it could backfire.

Regardless, if there's any way to get free spell components on a regular basis (like a box that just makes them appear each day), that'd be great.

The main issue is that a spell component box is too close to an infinite money engine.  You could use fabricate repeatedly to create more components from a small sample, but aside from that, there aren't that many options.

Closest thing I can think of is a liquid pain extractor, one of those abilities that lets you substitute 1 xp / 5 gp, and a lot of time in the backstory.

As with most DMs you've had, this would be more of a mercy killing/euthanasia.

I was afraid you were going to say that. Can't use Fabricate though as he's not a high enough level yet, and he hasn't met anyone he can learn the spell from yet. All he's got is evocation spells so far. He might as well be a warmage. At least he'd have armour.

If we roll up a new wizard, I'll look into the liquid pain extractor.

unless we actually want him to perform the TPK he's been threatening us with for a while.

Not really because we have to choose a race, roll up a character again, hope that the 12.5 average of stats are decent (including the new stat changes), choose a class based on the stats we end up with, and start 1-2 levels lower than we were before, and then do this all over again. I don't see it as a mercy killing at all unless we roll god-like stats.

I think he means you'll be given an opportunity to escape the clutches of another asshole DM.

Q156 Do you keep aquired templates (e.g., Mineral Warrior) when you undergo the rite of rebirth (becomes a Dragonborn)?

My understanding of the rules is that you would keep your template. It just seems wrong...

Seriously kevin the best solution for you is to join PbP games and quit playing with these guys. All i ever see is you trying to work around some ridiculous thing the DM is doing. Either the game is fun enough to tolerate it or it isn't. If it isn't tell him his an asshole and leave. It really doesn't matter what any of us tell you on how to get around a problem as the DM is going to just change the way the rules work on you anyway.
Clerics and Druids are like the 4 and 2 in 42. Together they are the answer to the ultimate question in D&D.
Retire the character before the DM smacks you with the Table as the book will feel totally inadequate now.-Hazren

You would, but you lose basically all abilities except ability scores and movement speeds, just as with races.
It's all about vision and making reality conform to your vision. By dropping a fucking house on it.

Q157: Is there any Evocation or Conjuration (Calling/Summoning) of level 7 or lower that can bypass blindsight (via Dragonsight) anything I can summon that can dispel it?

Edit:
Q158 Can you cast Body of War on your familiar without casting it on yourself in the process?

Well it's not even for me. I'm doing my best to stay out of their way, and just play the way I can (which is why I mostly go divine so I don't have to worry about components as much). It's what I'm seeing the other players deal with, and they just blindly accept things because they've been with the DM for years with other games, and this is like the second D&D game they've done.

The Friday one is essentially a write-off, but I'm hoping with the Sunday games that I'll be taking over them once we're done.

Well, to be fair, if that's what they're used to and they're having fun (which I assume that they are -- I could be wrong), then that's just the norm for the group -- "when in Rome ...".
just as a thought.   :shrug

If you stop ignoring 289 pages telling what the intent is to stretch "more power" in your own god complexion of your interpretation trumps all to cover ability adjustments from aging then I will ignore a quarter page of rules that exist within a sidebar.
I think in this case the grammar is less important than whether the Str and Dex bonus provided to your created undead scales.

Looks like someone is making a Dragoon...  :D

Raptoran race/Dragonborn template both give +10 racial bonus to Jump checks.
Thri'Keen give a +30 racial to Jump.

Feats:
Vault Dragon Mag #331 p28 (When wielding a pole arm, a list of which can be found a few pages before this feat, you gain some boosts to your jumps.)
Leap of the Heavens PH2 p80 (No bonus, but lets you make standing jumps as if you were running.)
Vestigial Wings Fiendish Codex I p87 (+3 for each feat of a certain type, but taking two or more forces your alignment to shift to chaotic)

Magic Items:
Sandal of Springing (Complete Psionic version) 6000g, +15 enhancement bonus to Jump

The wings help from dragonborn and raptorian for reducing falling damage too...

Also there is neraphim (+5) which has to be the strangest LA+0 races out there.

Q160: Does PBS work with ray spells ie give attack and damage bonus. Also if you apply snowcasting and flast frost to ray of stupidity to make it do HP damage does ranged spell specialization add 2 to the int damage?
