Spell Component Pouch
A spellcaster with a spell component pouch is assumed to have all the material components and focuses needed for spellcasting, except for those components that have a
But if it's expensive ones that you want... pay for them. Or get epic feats/turn things into Spell Like Abilities.
Well the problem is that the DM is making us pay for everything, and we can't afford the pearls we need for the identify spells that we have to do each time we get an item like bracers, or special armors and weapons. And we're literally not getting the wealth. I figured it out that he's purposely using the NPC WBL chart for the PCs, and we're barely able to afford staying in an inn (which we choose to do now because otherwise we get a constant ambush). The wizard is getting tired of not being able to properly prepare his spells because he doesn't have the components. The ranger tries to do decent survival checks to get the basic ones (owl feathers, bat dung, bat fur, etc), but we're in a region where that's all but impossible it would seem.
Or become a tainted scholar and use your blood for the component.
He's not allowing that.
Its in cases like this when a DM is purposely being a (insert explicit here) where casters are concerned, he gets a caster that commits suicide in a very flavorful manner
, and the next time I'm 'allowed' to bring a character, he'll get an Orc/Halforc(mainly for the feat that bumps will save) barbarian/fighter/FB that leaps and pounces with supreme power attack, ofc with all the nice annoyances like air walk, twisted charge etc, and to top it off over sized, two handed, reach weapons with combat brute, shock trooper goodness. Only 'component' that you'll need then is a weapon, and with your strength, that can be a party member
