Anyone wanna take a quick spin in my world?

Here's the basic premise. Imagine Earth. Now, imagine it's had access to actual magic like we know in D&D since 7 A.D.. Fast forward 3000 years. You get something very similar to this campaign world I've cooked up. The long and short of it: it's basically Phantasy Star meets D&D, in a good way.

I've gotten bored, so I decided I'll open up a game of my own for DMing. Everyone's welcome to try and join, though I'll have to cap things at 4 players, tops. All material is accepted; Dragon Magazine, run it by me first, since I have exactly 0 issues of it. Unupdated 3.0 material is fine too.

I'll start with a one-shot. If there's enough interest on both sides of the table, I'll expand the storyline for ya'll.

Character level is 7, standard wealth. Attribute generation is 5d6, 3 highest. Wish Economy is in effect: however, the players proper won't have access to it until level 10 (for reasons that will be explained along the character creation process). Relax, you'll gain plenty of experience (I'm lazy at calculating stuff like that, so I'll just hand levels instead).

A minimum of backstory and personality is required, as I freaking hate characters that just seemingly sprouted off the ground, but I won't ask you guys for novels unless people survive the one-shot. You can pull off practically any trick in the book and out of it, short of infinite loops, but bear in mind that A) your party has to live with it too and B) at level 7, you're not even the smallest fish in the ocean, you're the smallest bait. 

So come on, what's the hold-up? I'm waiting here.

EDIT: Forgot to mention. The Rule of Cool is in effect. Since anachronisms aren't a problem and we're talking about a world where the very laws of physics are defied on a daily basis, wardrobe isn't exactly troublesome. You can also have any eye/hair color you want, or combination thereof.

Also, this world has guns. And chainsaws. And lightsabers. Expect to see them.

I was thinking a Loredrake Dragonwrought Kobold sorcerer entering Stranger with the Burning Eyes, if I can manage to get in early enough...

Let's see... Loredrake + Greater Draconic Rite = +3 CLs. So at level 6, I'd have CL 9. So I'd still need either another +1 (real) CL, or Versatile Spellcaster + a way to add Magic Jar to my spells known. Arcane Disciple (Envy domain) could work for getting Magic Jar as a spell known early, I think. But I sure am chewing through a lot of feats...

That's Dragonwrought + Draconic Reservoir + Still Spell + Silent Spell + Versatile Spellcaster + Arcane Disciple, so 6 feats. I'd have 3 from leveling and two from flaws, and so would have to get one of those for free somehow...

I'm also going to come up short on meeting the Knowledge (Religion) prereq... unless I multiclass or something. Hmm... even if I did a cloistered cleric dip, I could still hit the CL needed for Magic Jar, though...

So what's the chance I could find/cook up with you a gun-mage class? Cause at first, I was ready to make Black Mage, 8-bit style, but a cowboy version of him is 10x, cause he's a cowboy. And has guns. So let's kaioken that up a bit, neh?   Halfway between an abjurant/evoker, who can maybe craft special shells a la Outlaw Star? Magic-shooting guns, and shells that work kinda like scrolls, basically. Or would that just be a reflavoring? I figure, if it's a prc, I could probably get it by 5 or 6, meaning the first two levels about for this game.

If that goes to pot, I'll probably wind up with an abjurant force mage, since I haven't played that guy for a while.

EDIT: Building on the gun-mage question, which would totally be a first pick...

@Flay: There's a d20 version of a gunmage in Iron Kingdoms, though I need to get myself the PDF for that first. Otherwise, we could go with a reflavored, non-shitty arcane archer. (Heck, I could just give him 9/10 casting or 10/10 casting and call it a day. With so many stupidly powerful arcane casting PrCs around, pumping up the Arcane Archer is the least of my concerns. I'd waive the elf prereq as well, which is too idiotic.) EDIT2: Fair word of warning though, once you get into the Wish Economy, Spellstoring ammo will be like candy. Heck, if you want to get yourself up to 50 Spellstoring bullets, consider them free of charge. You'll still need to supply the spells themselves though.

I found the gunmage base class you mentioned, and it looks pretty much like a base version of the prc I mentioned, which is sick with me. While it doesn't get 9th level spells, locking at a nice list of 6th by lv 17 (I have 3rd level by the start of this campaign), and it's the right flavor. If this'll be a high powered campaign (what is the level we should be looking at, by the by), then I want to make sure you think my going straight through it, maybe a prc but unlikely, will be able to keep up with some decent optimization.

Well, the Rule of Cool is in effect. Wish Economy makes sure nothing that's based on WBL gets too crazy.

So you should shoot for what's cool, not what's powerful. Assume that any kind of arms race you try to get in, you lose. Go for Tier 2, if you would (you COULD break the game, but not in sixteen different ways). Just try not to go overboard. Assume I'm okay with almost everything except what would make a DM embed a DMG into your skull. That should give you plenty of leeway to work with, shouldn't it?

What are you thinking of? Remember that if you're gonna try going nuts and picking something like a tanar'ri you WILL have matching problems.

Try to keep it playable by the mid-levels (somewhere between 8-13) but without losing possibilities in the future. Like I said, I'll be handing out levels like candy, but too much candy rots your teeth.
