Backstory and academy maps
« on: February 23, 2010, 01:21:40 PM »
A Long time ago, somewhere, on the infinite masses of the material plane, a Kobold had a mighty vision. Watching the mighty Sarrukh as they changed their serpentine minions, his mind formed a plan that would secure him all the power in the world. five levels later, he performed the mightiest optimization trick that has ever been done on the world. NI power was his. Many legends tell of the wonders and terrors he performed on the universe. This mighty apparition, risen from a humble kobold, for whom the legends chose the name pun-pun, eventually grew tired of playing with the cosmoverse. He restored it to its former glory, and worked a mighty ritual of magic on the world, to prevent anybody from rising to the same power again. He then left for an unknown world, maybe to experience something he had not already. Before he passed on, however, he chose the most powerful mortals on the face of the world, and passed on them the task of upholding the tenets of practical optimization. He bestowed upon them the Gem of Ultimate Power, which holds the ability to bestow infinite power unto the holder. These mortals chose to form an academy of Adventuring, to teach the would-be adventurers to ply their trades, and to choose the right kind of training, too.
