Since I can't see RJ, but I presume she'd take his back anyway, I'll just place the tentacles around where I BELIEVE his front is, careful so as to not engulf his back. That make sense?

... I guess Xuuvosic could tell you where they are both at (relayed through the psurlon), since he just fell past them and will re-enter the psurlon's telepathy range before he teleports away.
Otherwise, the only thing you could do is make the Listen checks I mentioned above. You otherwise have no idea where either of them are, much less how they are oriented with respect to each other.
It's frankly ridiculous to consider targeting something this accurately based on information gathered by someone falling past them and then relayed through someone else telepathically... but whatever. I guess it isn't really prohibited by the rules, and/or they don't cover how to adjudicate the randomness. So let's just roll with it...
Using coordinates relayed to him from Xuuvosic's minion, Raoul casts a spell and tries to place it so that it envelops his enemy but not Ris-Janna. Miraculously, he succeeds.
Ris-Janna has no idea why, but the tree-man begins grasping at his neck as if being strangled by invisible hands and he is jostled about obviously against his own will.
Grapple check
1d20+6=21Need to roll damage for the tentacles, or I can, whatever.
He manages to croak out "
Well, I'm glad to see you're putting up a decent fight. I thought you were all going to just hide in your little dark cloud down there. It will avail you nothing in the end, though. The Fates have decreed that you are doomed."
As he says the last, lightning erupts from his hands and penetrates Ris-Janna's body, burning her terribly.
10d6=36 electrical damage
Xuuvosic finds himself caught and lifted by a new set of winds, which abruptly halt his descent and begin crushing him slowly as if they were a great coiled snake.
Touch Attack; Grapple check:
1d20+16=21, 1d20+16=20And I guess you do normal unarmed damage (using your casting stat instead of strength) when you grapple someone with Telekinesis. So
1d3+6=7 damage if you're successfully grappled.
You'll need to make a
DC 27 Concentration check to activate your Greater Teleport Spell-like ability.
And no, I didn't forget about tree-man having to make concentration checks from being grappled. You'll see why when you finally see his stat block.
Ok, so the tree-dude is being grappled by invisible tentacles, Ris-Janna got shocked, and Xuuvosic is being grappled and held in mid-air by winds (telekinesis).
It's Ris-Janna's turn, then Xuuvosic's and Raoul's. And if anyone else wants to climb out of the pit and do something, they of course can. It has been quite a few seconds since you jumped in there, and you can hear the sounds of battle ringing out in mid-air above you, and Raoul's muffled chanting tells you he is casting spells.
