Q78: What ways are there to gain telepathy for a wizard who has banned enchantment?
Well... improved familiar (pseudodragon) kind of works.

Alter Self/Polymorph/whatever + Metamorphic Transfer (if you happen to be psionic ;) ) could also work. It requires manifester level 5, though.

Updated my question for you.   :p
So this isn't for your RHoD wizard? Isn't she a half-giant (and so racially psionic, with the Stomp power)?
[spoiler]
A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.
...thanks

Let me rephrase it then.  I want telepathy without having to change forms.   :P  I won't have ML 5 until level 10.

A78: Diversified Casting (Dragon 325).  It lets you take up to three spells from a prohibited school.

Don't you get a +1 CL to your stomp power from being a primordial giant? That would mean level 8. Ok, ok, I'll drop it. You don't want to use Metamorphic Transfer. I got it. (Even though it is awesome-sauce. :P)

Isn't there a feat in the FR supplement book Lost Empires of Faerun that let's you cast from a prohibited school in some limited fashion?
[Spoiler]
A gygaxian dungeon is like the world's most messed up game show.

Behind door number one: INSTANT DEATH!
Behind door number 2: A magic crown!
Behind door number 3: 4d6 giant bees, and THREE HUNDRED POUNDS OF HONEY!
They don't/haven't, was the point. 3.5 is as dead as people not liking nice tits.

Sometimes, their tits (3.5) get enhancements (houserules), but that doesn't mean people don't like nice tits.

Though sometimes, the surgeon (DM) botches them pretty bad...
Best metaphor I have seen in a long time.  I give you much fu.
Three Errata for the Mage-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Barbarian-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Monks doomed to die,
One for the Wizard on his dark throne
In the Land of Charop where the Shadows lie.

Is Mindbender dip out of the question?

What about:
Shedu Crown, soulmeld, Magic of Incarnum, 100'
Soulspeaker Circlet, soulmeld, Magic of Incarnum, 20'/essentia
Demonbinder 1, ecl 8, Drow of the Underdark, 100'

I think Mindbender requires Charm Person, which is why he mentioned banning Enchantment.

Hence Diversified Casting to get Charm Person and get into Mindbender.

Q 79 When casting spells like Bless, does cover affect it hitting your allies?

A 79

Since it's a burst, the caster will need line of effect to affect an ally.

Q 80

Which nerfs casters more, banning every spell BUT those in core, or banning core and allowing everything else?

A80 Core has mini-wish, grease, glitter dust, GMW, Polymorph, overland flight/teleport, uh... flesh to stone, Reverse Gravity, PaO and wish with a quick check that is one game-changer a level.  Much bigger hit than banning splat.

Q78: What ways are there to gain telepathy for a wizard who has banned enchantment?  I want to gain it for myself (don't have a familiar), and I'm not psionic.

Telepathic bond is divination LTIC

Banning core.

Depends on which core. The Pathfinder ones got nerfed, which means that the other spells would be more powerful.
So probably the best way to nerf spell casters completely, would be to only allow the Pathfinder core versions of the spells, and nothing else.

A78: I'd go with Diversified Casting if Dragon is allowed (Dr325, also on Crystalkeep), and then take a trip into Mindbender. It gives access to three spells, which could be Charm Person, Freezing Glance, and Dominate Monster or somesuch.
This space intentionally left blank.

Pathfinder isn't D&D, much-less core. Also, from what I heard, they didn't nerf a huge portion of what really needed to be nerfed, and in fact boosted casters while nerfing warriors. *puts on flame-resistant vest*

Being as generous as possible, Pathfinder missed most of the worst offenders, like Contact other Plane and Divination. So just considering core 3.5 WotC D&D; is losing access to core worse then losing access to everything else*.

*The everything else is everything 3.5 by WotC, lets not consider 3rd party or 3e.

Q81 (Su) ability based on Alternate Form that lasts for 1 hour and is a full-round action to use.

How can I use it for 24 hours straight? Other then Action Points.

If it makes it any easier, I only need the mental ability boosts the form grants.

The ability is the capstone of the THRALL OF MALCANTHET DRAGON 353.
