Listen 13
If I hear something I'll free action shift to Baboon to check the area with Scent. I won't bother taking the move action to pinpoint.
Moving to the west, Saru makes an attempt to help an ally. Landing in a tree near his friend Yamanu, he says "Hey, this will help right?" as he points his quaterstaff at the man and his dogs. A black surface coats the ground near them as he shifts back to Bird form.
Move: Movement to K15, sharing the square (tiny birdie!)
Stanard: Wand use! Does the Grease work better because I got a nat 20(34) on the UMD?  ;) ((DC 11))
P15xQ16 is the area of the grease.

1 round left on grease.
3 rounds left on DB recharge.
0 rounds left on DFA recharge.
bears:
You don't hear anything.

How do you use a Wand in Hawk-form?
Can you speak in that form and wield items?

Or do you have an item or something for this?

Right, shifting. All good :)
OOC:
Both the Hobgoblin and the hound pass their Ref save.
OOC:
Damage 6 and 7 for their Breath Weapons.

2 Reflex saves for the Nashrou please, Nanshork.
As the dog caught in the greased area attempts to move to a less slippery location it can't seem to get a steady footing and it's feet start wildly sliding in different directions. Eventually it's legs cross eachother and the hound loses it's balance, falling to the floor with a yelp.

OOC:
HH2 is currently prone in Q16.
Phaedrus and Nanshork are next, I'll update the map after they've posted their actions :)

A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.

The big demon manages to dodge a part of the flames directed at it before unleashing a frenzy of attacks on the Hobgoblin in front of it. The disciplined and well-trained warrior manages to dodge all of the monster's attacks though.

OOC:
The Nashrou takes 6 points of damage.
It's attacks all miss.
Kalal tosses aside his shield and both he and his mount attack the Hobgoblin in front of them. Even though the mule misses it's target, the Dwarf manages to draw goblinoid blood and the opposing warrior cries out in pain as he falls to the floor.

OOC:
Please remember to include the Colonel's bonuses in your result next time, I thought you had a 25 :)

Hobgoblin RW2 is dead.

Everyone, a Listen check please.
Yamanu/Venn:
Will save please. Also, the thing you noticed earlier is still within 30 ft., so when your turn comes up you can use a move action to pinpoint it if you wish to.
You did not beat the DC by 10, so you can't make out what's being said.
You can tell that it's a new creature that has entered the battle though, not one of the warriors you've seen so far.

OOC I assumed that I just didn't beat it by 10 or more. I just wasn't sure. Also, it doesn't really tell you much about what you should be able to tell about a sound in the skill description, does it? :P
Kalal says "Sounds like someone new has joined the party. Maybe we should head that way and see what's going on. This guy won't be bothering us anymore, and his pal should run away and hide while he can if he has any sense."
You hear someone uttering words in Goblin, it sounds like he's casting a spell. The individual is located south of you.

You passed your Will save.
Yamanu shakes off an odd feeling, and decides that it's best to investigate the new-found nuisance now that the archers are taken care of. He first focuses his acute hearing to pinpoint the perpetrator.
Taking my move action to locate the direction of the 'intruder.'
Will update again once that's done (though I'm in classes now too, so I may not get to the rest until a bit later. Who knows, maybe I can get to it while I'm in class. ;))
The Marruspawn gets a bearing on the location of the presence, and attempts to regain tactical advantage by hiding within the trees once more.
Damn, rolled low for Hide.  :rollseyes

Hide: 1d20(3)+18=21
MS: 1d20(16)+18=34
