In that case, Grease actually works against me more than it works for me. If a creature doesn't move, I get no benefit. If they do and they fall, it's harder for me to hit them. There's only a tiny space for benefit, which is if I'm engaged in melee with the creature in question, and that's somewhere I don't want to be unless I know I can either get good damage off on them or I have little other choice.
@bears: Again, prone is terrible for me. Being prone doesn't deny a foe their dex bonus, so no sneak attack, plus they get a +4 to ac vs. ranged attacks. I'd be wasting an action if I attacked the prone dog.
If they try to walk and
succeed, they're balancing. If they don't have at least 5 ranks in balance, that makes them flat-footed. So it could work out to benefit you. It just didn't this time.
And prone is still good for everyone, since they're less of a threat and/or draw an AoO for standing up. So unless they both make the save and then don't move afterwards, it is overall likely to benefit us, I think.
And... is there a decent way to handle my granted maneuvers online? Its really easy in real life, because you can just use cards. But we can't do that here...
I guess I'll assign them numbers, roll 1d5, and then reassign and roll 1d4. Those will be the first two granted. Then I'll roll 1d3 next round... Kind of clunky, though.
