Mask Signature is a nice feat from the AEG Feats book.  It allows you to strip away a single discriptor [?????] from a spell which can allow it to bypass various immunities and resistances.  It is a +1 Metamagic.

HOLY FUCKNUGGETS!

:lmao  Thanks for the chuckle.  Yeah, it is a damn good feat.  I took it for obvious Beguiling reasons.  I really have not used it much yet since getting it but it is there for when the need arrives.  With Versatile Spellcaster I can even apply it to my highest known spells.   :D

The primary benefit I can see is it letting you ignore immunity to mind effecting which is very good for a beguiler. Also it will let you mind control mindless creatures, which is bizarre but hilarious.

Yep, as I'm not blasting many applications of the feat are not important to me.  The Mind Affecting of course is the main reason for it.  I've joked with my Wizard counterpart about Charming me some Ooze buddies.

(Don't worry Black Knight, not an actual plan..... at this time.  :smirk)

Added to my latest Commentary.

Quote
I need to clarify as it was clarified to me... the limited success is/was for specifically contacting the Thieves Guild.  This is of course a combo of giving the Tabby character a time to shine especially since it is consistent with her background.  That is all good by me as a player.   DM said I needed to also point out that during my socializing time I was learning of possible future followers via Leadership.

A Tale from Carthus: The Truth of Our Leaving Callay

It was a dark and rainy night.  The Streets of Callay were quite but in the seedy part of town at the Inn of the Red feather there were dark things afoot. Carthus stared Aghast at his drow Companion, "You CANNOT BE SERIOUS..." he signed furiously.

Yet the never to be sufficiently cursed Drow known as Draix laconically smirked as he signed back.."CARTHUS my all too excitable friend, of course I am serious. After all it is sheer genius...If I do sign so myself..."

"Well Draix this is one hair brained scheme of yours that I will not be a part of.  I shall be waiting in the crowd 9.5 feet from the door ready pull your dark ass out of the fire when this goes oh so horribly awry" Carthus signed as he flounced away, yes flounced.....

Draix smiled as he watched Carthus' all too predictable though thoroughly enjoyable antics.  Soon you will see my minio..err friend, soon.

Later that evening Draix stepped out on the stage and prepared to BEGUILE the crowd. He looked every inch the vagabond bard, after all he had just robbed one earlier that day for this very occasion.  Draix bowed to the audience and began to sing..  Youtube of Draix Beguiling the Audience

And that my friends is the true story of why we were in such a hurry to get the hell out of CALLAY.

This truth segment brought to you by the twisted mind of the fellow playing Carthus.

Session 19: Prepared Ambushes are the Best Ambushes

New session has been added.  I hope it isn't too disjointed though likely it is as it was a very chaotic battle.

I just want to say that I really enjoy reading about the adventures of Rance.  I wish there were more of these CO diaries (most tend to suddenly die off)
I'm amazed that your DM lets you use ray of "anticlimactic death to Purple Worm"  (ray of stupidity)  My DM outlawed that spell when I took out a bear...a single friggin bear ffs!

Thanks I'm glad you are enjoying.  :D

The DM is decent about letting us use stuff.  Sure, often it is so he can use it too or even first (HE AMBUSHED US WITH SHIVERING TOUCH!!!!)  Besides, in the campaign it  hasn't been much of an issue.  I've used it in only the one encounter I think.
