Yet another use for my Tinfoil Hat Trick.

Take a metal (or wood, or plastic, or stone, or whatever) cone/dome/box that's big enough for you to stand inside of comfortably. Cast shrink item on it. Now wear it as a hat.

When it's subjected to an antimagic field, the shrink item effect is suppressed, thereby returning the 'hat' to its normal size, which blocks the emanation effect of the AMF. This allows you to cast freely (see: dimension door).

1.4 is up!  This is a major update!
Hood - My first answer to all your build questions; past, present, and future.

Speaking of which:
Don't even need TO for this.  Any decent Hood build, especially one with Celerity, one-rounds [Azathoth, the most powerful greater deity from d20 Cthulu].
Does it bug anyone else that we've reached the point where characters who can obliterate a greater deity in one round are considered "decent?"

...When did my posts become 'leet'? And why?

[edit] Ah. '1337' was replaced with 'leet'.

How corny.

By the Rules Compendium, antimagic fields don't negate each other, but they also don't stack. Effectively, they don't overlap into each other's areas. This means that an Extraordinary Spell Aim'd antimagic field (with you as the ESA target) makes you immune to other antimagic fields.

Quotes I Found Entertaining:

Huge amounts of people are fuckwits. That doesn't mean that fuckwit is a valid lifestyle.

As a general rule, murdering people and taking their stuff is pretty much superior to breaking their stuff, murdering them, then not having any stuff to take.

Where is that from, or did you just make it up?
I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle.  The book doesn't even exist!

If using Genesis to hide your phylactry, set it at -300 degrees farenheit.  See how do-gooders fare with a liquid atmosphere.

I think there's an equivalent spell in Lords of Madness. That looks like a straight psionics port.

I knew of Invoke Magic, I was just trying to make sure that I hadn't somehow missed an official psionic equivalent.

Google isn't turning anything up, so I assume it's not official.

Nah. Its half you hd = IL, round down. So anyone with six hd can take up martial study shadow blink, and many people should.

I'm not sure if it'll work, but how about the spell Mystic Shield from the FR Anauroch book?

It "prevents all spells and SLA's of 6th level or lower from affecting the recipient"..
Anti-Magic Field, being a 6th level spell, should be covered by that.
On the other hand, Anti-Magic field states that any and all magical effects within its area is supressed and non-functional..

Question is then, which spell takes "priority"?

If it works, it's a go-to easy-peasy fix for all the anti-magic hating sor/wiz.. :)

hmm, iv always thought it was (non martial)class X 1 is .5 IL so you need Class X 2 for one full IL.

IL is 1/2 non-Initiator HD+Initiator (note that each IL is calculated seperately.  Swordsage is considered "non-Initiator" when calculating Warblade IL and vice-versa).

so at 20th, any non martial is IL10 regardless of class distribution.   i didnt think it worked like that. i thought you had to have 2 lvls to get 1 IL.

How is that any different?

But yes, everyone at level 20 (so long as they don't have LA) has an IL of 10 or higher.
