Or you could use cloistered cleric/prestige paladin.

The problem with the Prestige Paladin is that he's getting all his features too late in the game (+4 minimum BAB means at least 8 CC//DN levels, with poor BAB on either side), not to mention requires feats that would later be useless (Mounted Combat, even though I'm planning to get an alternative to the special mount)

See if you can get smites to be per-encounter rather than per-day.

With that DM? D'luck! :banghead

A nice thing you might want to try is to use the first build on the linked page to have a small army of undead creatures very early on. Also it would work well with your characters DN level.

No one has mentioned the Smite Spell metamagic feat? Sure, it isn't the best solution, but it works. Combine it with haste or a Sharn.

Where's Smite Spell from? Keep in mind, Dragon Magazine is banned.

If you're talking about the Sharn that's black and that has dual arcane/divine casting actions, that's banned too.

EDIT: nevermind, found the Smiting Spell in PHBII. Yes, this one might work as a combat prep (and quite nicely at that, as I'm in control as to when combat starts, at least in this campaign), but not that well during combat. Charnel Touch is out, too. Still, a nice ability, thanks. Not sure how would it work with haste, though, unless you're talking 3.0 haste.

Yeah, my mind went to 3.0 haste when I thought of Sharn. My bad. >_>
