Serene Guardian is a quite good PrC for monks.  Flurry with splash weapons, build up resonance, and autoconfuse enemies.

Q 173: Is there an Item Familiar Handbook on this board? If not, could someone point me in the direction of one?

Q 174How much does it cost to write a spell to the spellbook?

SRD/PHB says 100g per page and yet wouldn't that mean that Boccob's blessed book at 12500 is actually a 100,000 gold value?  I heard people say it's only a 25,000 value....

It's a pretty good bargain.

Q175 Is there anything cheaper than the blessed book with similar effect?  I remember hearing about some crystal from Faerun.

I'm almost certain there's a crystal from either Faerun or Eberron that is a Boccob's Blessed Book in every way, except it's a crystal instead of a book, with half the capacity and half the cost. It takes the same amount of time to prepare, and doesn't give any other advantages.

There's also the tome of ancient lore, which is riskier...

Q 177
If a medium armor becomes a light armor (through the use of mithral or similar) does it retain its adjustment to movement speed for being a medium armor (20ft for medium creature) or does it act as a light armor in regards to your movement speed?

A 177: It's a light armour in every aspect.

No. Once you're sickened, you cannot become more sickened. Of course, you can be sickened and fatigued and shaken, all stacking.

Q178
I am medium creature, I take inhuman reach: reach is 10 ft right?
Above creature takes a spiked chain, 20 ft right?
Now with a whip, 30ft? 20ft? 15ft?
Now a large creature with inhuman reach and a whip?
15ft? 30ft? 45ft?

How does those things (mostly the whip) stack with each other?

Aureon's Shard from ECS. It works exactly as you say.
Also, the Tome of the Stilled Tongue (MIC) acts in a similar way.

Wrong.  Sickened stacks to Nauseated.  Fatigued stacks to Exhausted.  Shaken stacks to Frightened and Panicked.

No, you can't double up on the penalties from any one of these conditions, but since the greater state is much worse, I don't see why you would want to.
I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle.  The book doesn't even exist!

I guess I was wrong.  It never is actually stated in the rules, although it does seem similar to those conditions that do stack (fatigue and shaken/frightened) and most effects that nauseate on a failed save cause sickened on a successful save.

Yeah... it seems like it would be a very logical house rule, but I don't see that it is stated anywhere in the actual rules...

By the rules, it technically doesn't.

Unless you have a DM who is willing to let ropes, or wall hangings, or rugs, or something to be used.

A gygaxian dungeon is like the world's most messed up game show.

Behind door number one: INSTANT DEATH!
Behind door number 2: A magic crown!
Behind door number 3: 4d6 giant bees, and THREE HUNDRED POUNDS OF HONEY!
They don't/haven't, was the point. 3.5 is as dead as people not liking nice tits.

Sometimes, their tits (3.5) get enhancements (houserules), but that doesn't mean people don't like nice tits.

Though sometimes, the surgeon (DM) botches them pretty bad...
Best metaphor I have seen in a long time.  I give you much fu.
Three Errata for the Mage-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Barbarian-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Monks doomed to die,
One for the Wizard on his dark throne
In the Land of Charop where the Shadows lie.

Q180: Just so I make sure I'm understanding the proper usage of this thing correctly:
I've read that 90% of the usage of a Ring of Counterspells is to load them up with Dispel Magics to prevent people from dispelling your buffs.
Off the top of my head, I can think of three different dispel magics (Dispel, Greater Dispel, and Reaving Dispel).
Now the text says that "whenever the spell stored in the ring is cast on you, it activates as though you had readied it as a counterspell".
How is this going to work if I load up two of them with Greater Dispel Magic, but get Reaving Dispel or regular Dispel cast on me instead?  Text for Dispel says it can be readied to counter any spell, except you have to make a caster level check, but the ring indicates it would only activate if the same spell that's in it is cast on you.

Do I have to pick two of the Dispels and hope for the best?  Does it activate anyway due to the wording of Dispel Magic?

Q181:  In game, the house my 14th level artificer has been using as a shop/alchemy lab/forge has recently partially collapsed due to something tunneling out half of the ground beneath it and digging a hole up through the floor.  What's the best and quickest means of remedying this, spell-wise? :D
