Grapple+Natural Attack build
« on: December 30, 2009, 03:05:39 AM »
I am trying to figure out a good build that focuses on grappling and natural(or unarmed) attacks for character that will have the vampire template added(and later, vampire lord).
Naturally monk isn't such an interesting option, but I heard Unarmed Swordsage could do good, but I don't have THAT much experience with ToB, so if your build includes that class, a list of important maneuvers/stances to have would be appreciated.

Of course, the more charisma focused the build is, the better. Some spellcasting would also be nice if you can somehow fit it in the build.

Don't worry about the LA and everything, I just want the build.

One option is Totemist as said above

Another option is bear warrior. Something like

Barbarian/Fist of the Forest/Bear Warrior

I recommend being a dwarf of some sort, possibly psionic duergar for the expansion sla or fireblood dwarf so you can have a tail. And get the regional feat from Races of Faerun that lets you 2 hand your unarmed strikes so you can power attack with them.

Yet another option is some sort of wildshaper/polymorpher. Druid 20? Wildshape Ranger5/Fist of the Forest3/Primeval 10? Erudite or Egoist 5/Anarchic Initiate? Focused Specialist Transmuter?

You have a lot of options

Vampire already has a natural attack, so I would say Totemist, as you could possibly increase the number of slams using Girralons blessing.

My favorite grappling class is Psionic Warrior as you can use Expansion and Iron Grip (sp?) plus all the natural attack powers to really take someone to town.

Of course Primeval is always great, pure strength + large size+ and natural attacks (depends on the form).  I think one with Improved Grap should do the trick.  Vampire template should stave off some of the harsh mental penalties, although not getting the constitution bonus sucks.
