The luminous order also allows you to enter the Serene Guardian PrC, which is one of the few ways to make a monk decent at combat.

The Ebon Cabal's Twisted Lord PrC is interesting, too - not the greatest thing ever, but it has some neat tricks to play with and I'd certainly give it a shot.

Sadly, Solar Channeller is kind of butts and Dark Scholar doesn't justify the lost caster level.

Twisted Lord looks interesting on paper, but there's little it can do over 10 levels that a two level dip into Swordsage can't.

It gets move-action demoralize, a +4 typeless Intimidate bonus, and 8 skill points per level along with its various active abilities. Swordsage is probably a more powerful option overall, but Twisted Lord isn't a worthless choice.

(And of course there's nothing stopping a Twisted Lord from dipping Swordsage anyway - there's not actually that huge an overlap other than Peripheral Invisibility and Sneak Attack.)

Favored (of the X) gets a piddly +2 to a specific skill.
And then wtf nobody knows extra goodies.

Only really useful for "That Feat In Cityscape"
to get the +1 rank, for early entry into PrCs.
One of the few ways get by a Skill Ranks prereq.

Warforged + Intelligent Item + PAO + Fusion
... or Dusk Giant ; being the others.
