Either way, no thanks. And I looked in one of the monk handbooks on here and the guy there was of the opinion that you cannot decisive strike after a pounce. Oh well, the pouncing will come in later anyways, because the two levels of monk are looking better and better.

Not to Hijack the thread, but he would be mostly a combo of Judo and Jujutsu. I was looking into them last night before bed (meaning 6 this morning, lol) What I saw was that Jujutsu mostly focused on Pins, joint locks, and throws. Judo is derived from Jujutsu, so it is essentially the same. I don't have the physical and practical knowledge of these things, but hey, that's why I want a D&D character about it....

Anyway, back to you, MyndBulletz!
I don't recall the part of Kamehameha where people launched redwoods at each other.

Also, as your DM, I want a good excuse for your fluctuating alignment... Lawful Monk to Chaotic Barbarian... sure, I've pulled of worse, but my DMs have all been idiots.

Damn right you will...

lol

Anyway, I considered a Jujutsu specialist yesterday, but I don't think you'd like it. It's specialization was in throwing and tripping, but dealing non-lethal whenever it has the option. Mostly an unarmed swordsage, but lots of fun (in limited practice and theory)

Judo would be more non-lethal, Japanese Jujutsu has a patently lethal intent. You actually spend less time killing people than you do breaking their limbs, but I think that's still lethal damage. Jujutsu was designed for actual use on a battlefield, Judo was designed for police forces.

Aren't they based on the same principles though?  Do is practice combat, while Jutsu is a martial art in the "used in war sense"  Kendo is what you do with Boken and padding in practice, Kenjutsu is the same principles applied to real combat with real swords.

or something like that.

Yes, but being based on the same principles doesn't make them the same thing. Judo and Western Wrestling are very different, but they're based on a lot of the same basic ideas.

I don't know anything about Kenjutsu, but I've done all the other ones. In Jujutsu most of our moves evolved from a basic set of ten movements called Taisabaki (body movement, IIRC, it was many years ago though). Taisabaki had a lot of variations, including weapon variations. I only learned 4-5, only two of which included weapons (A wooden training sword and a short stick the name of which I can't recall), before my Sensei left to be a liaison between Japanese and U.S. military in Japan  :mad.

I don't employ memes. Mass-produced ammunition, even from reputable manufacturers, tends to malfunction on occasion.

Correction. Neutral Human Paragon to Lawful Monk to Chaotic Barbarian to Lawful Warblade(eventually) lol. I'll come up with an awesome back-story to explain everything after I get everything in place.

I'm thinking it better be DAMN good and not include the Tomb of Horrors.

  • It can only be attributable to human error.

Tomb of horrors and two helms of opposite alignment should do the trick.

Tomb of Horrors is not allowed as we may take a trip there... Helms of Opposite Alignment might work, but don't tell your DM that I endorsed the idea... (lol)
