*bump* I'm going to go ahead with things if there are no objections otherwise.

Well, since my initial plans to follow along outside the pit were dashed, I've got nothing better to do. Proceed. :O

Spot and Listen are the same without items. RJ has neither perception-boosting items nor Wis boosters.
It's all about vision and making reality conform to your vision. By dropping a fucking house on it.

Reminds me... I need to choose my spell immunity spells. Glitterdust will probably be among them. :P
Anyway, how far off the ground is the Vrock perched on the rubble? I suppose I'll see if it's in the field when I try to get close to it. Right now, I'm thinking I'll either fly there and see if I fall (we did include some sort of Fly spell in the buff routine, right? I do see Cloud Wings) or try and teleport next to him.

It's 50 feet off the ground.

A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.

I guess I can assume that I don't see the Vrock, then?

No, you don't.  :smirk You see something small fall down from the top of the ruined wall and hear the sound of breaking glass, though.

Right...I'm probably going to get the hell out of the field so I can actually do something useful. :P I'm guessing either I rolled really poorly on my Hide/MS checks or that entering the field took down my Darkstalker item which opened me up to some sort of telepathy. Guess I'll find out at the end.

Oh, I'm curious: Could you post the aboleth and his friends in the graveyard if you have the time?

Technically we didn't defeat them in combat (anymore than we 'defeated' the portal guardians), but they got their own thread for the encounter.

The portal guardians were a 13th level druid with a tendriculous companion, a treant, and a bunch of other pseudo-treants that the druid and treant had animated from the trees in the area. I never intended for you guys to actually have to defeat them in combat.

In the UE book it says that there is a 13th level druid that protects the Mucklestones, so I just statted one up.

Great, everything always happens while I'm AFK. :P

So, am I to understand that we don't have access to magic items? are we simply stuck in the pit in that case? I am just a bit out of the loop after everything just popped up.

Right now, as I understand it, only Marlowe's in the dead magic zone/AMF/whatever it is. So RJ has her magic items active and could open the pit.

So what is RJ to do? Try and stop the big bird by herself, open the bag and get some help, or bathe herself in chocolate and start looking even more delicious?

Bah, I bet Marlowe looks much more delicious than her, what with being seated on a silver platter in a dead magic zone, without icky magic items to defend himself with. :P
I guess she'll jsut let everyone out. That's a standard action for her, since she doesn't have UMD, right?

I think it's still a swift, insanely enough. Anyone with an appropriate alignment can open (or close) the pit (LN, LE, or NE), and the activation time is listed as a swift action. True Believer/etc just lets you open it from a distance as a swift action.

Okay, here's my idea: RJ moves closer to the rubble the Vrock is on, opens the pit, and 'ports to the Vrock. Is there a possibility to hide near it without HiPS? If not, I'll have to activae her collar for a round or two... unless the Vrock, too, is in the DMZ.
I can't wait until I can finally Shadowpounce. :P
