My Wizard vs an army
« on: November 08, 2009, 01:43:01 PM »
i'm lvl 12 wizard (5wiz/5war mage (DL)7/2 Force magic missile)

i'v faced army of 150 units:
1 wizard lvl 17
2 warriors (dunno exact classes) with same lvl
and some knights and archers

well.. i win.. (with 5hp left)

but my big problem was to survive them attacks..

there is any nice permanente or semi permanent spell to make me harder to hit by archers and mele attak?

i use greater invisibility but the can see me as they are elves...

I didn't get it also...

Wind Wall blocks arrows, unless they are made of Force, which i doubt...

Wind Wall, Dispelling Screen for the mage's spells, and then work on bringing down that lvl 17.  Once/if he falls, pwn the remainder at your leisure.

Elves don't just automatically see invisible things. And if they do in your DM's game, then everyone should play one...

I'd say something is pretty wrong anyway, if your level 12 wizard beat a level 17 wizard with two other level 17 guys and an army helping him... Glad you won, though...

[spoiler]
A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.
...thanks

Fog cloud, solid fog, acid fog, etc are quite good for avoiding attacks.  You can drop them down in and around the enemy lines and follow up with cloudkills.

Now, I'm quite curious, how did you manage to kill this army?
