It makes sense.  When you don't have much in the way of words, you have to use what you've got!  Of course, adults eyes are expressive too, but I think we put more effort into listening to their words.  That, and babies are cuter to look at. :p

I think my wife is about a month away from the ultrasound where we find out if we're having a boy or girl.

She is so cute Meg. What did she have surgery for? I can really understand how stressful it is with my little one already having had 3 surgeries.

Having kids sounds terrifying, but damn, MiniMeg is adorable.
Which reminds me... are we supposed to know her name? It was probably mentioned somewhere, but if it was, I've forgotten it. So I'm still calling her MiniMeg.

Ear tubes. Surgery was a breeze, it's the fact the tubes don't seem to be working that's a bigger stress :( She's not doing so hot on her hearing tests.

That sucks. Best of luck with straitening that out. May mini-Meg (i really love that nickname) have all the good fortune she deserves and more.

I figure I'll post some pics of my little girl as well. I'll do them in a bit of a time line as well (warning those I put in spoilers may be a bit heart breaking) Whole thing in spoiler to not take up the thread, since I just can't seem to stop myself when gushing about her  ;)

Yes, I confess, little children are my ultimate weakness.

If I were in a classic human shield situation, me with the guy and bad guy with a hostage, I'd shoot the bad guy after noting his stupidity.

If he used a puppy, I'd still shoot him.

But if he used a baby or a little child... Well, then I'd rely on my sidekick.
