Shock Trooper Clarification

Directed Bull Rush: As part of a charge, for every square you move your foe back, you may also move your foe one square left or right.

Is "back" defined at the beginning of the charge, or does this let you change the direction you're charging in by 45 degrees for every 5' beyond the initial? Assuming sufficiently wide intersection for turning radius, would this let me bull rush someone in a hallway around the corner, and keep pushing them in the new direction?

The first thing. Though it's probably easy enough to persuade your DM otherwise.
