Q29  anyone here fleuent in persian or arabic or farsi?

its my understanding that one of these has numerous words for the varied familial relations (the wife of my wifes brother, sort of thing.)

i cant find any, and would like to have a list of them..

in particular, my nephews grandmother, not mother in law. and 'the dude, my wifes sister is banging'

thanks for any assistance.  :)

I think that one is "Infidel", or something like that. ;)

Q. 30: Should I re-read "The hitchhikers guide to the galaxy" or start reading Robert Jordan's "The Wheel of Time" series?

that depends, on how much time you need to kill?

if its a week, the hitchhikers

if its a couple months... then wheel of time.

otherwise, both..

The first few books of WoT are good, then it starts getting annoying/redundant. I soooo wanted to rip that freakin' braid of Ninyvae's (sp?) head after about 5 books... So I'd say go for WoT.

yeah, but #'s 6, 9, and 11 MORE than make up for it (and 7 won't be as frustrating as it was when it first came out, since you can now just roll right on to 8).
besides, Nynaeve redeems herself enough to let you overlook the braid-pulling (if by nothing else, then her little bit at the end of KoD completely erases all of her annoying b.s.)

I'm not reading 5 books of 1000+ pages to get to the good parts, I'm sorry.

it's all good (well, okay, book 10 did drag a bit) -- it's just that it keeps getting better as it goes.  I never said that the first 5 books suck; quite the contrary -- as a matter of fact, even with book 2 being a bit of a low point, the first 5 are completely awesome.  That would be like saying "I don't want to play a druid through 20 levels because I won't get shapechange until level 17".  Additionally, one annoying character doesn't ruin anything -- the thing is, she's intentionally annoying, and for good reason (as it relates to character development).

It just so happens that my very favorite scenes happen to be in 6, 9, and 11 (with specific ones in 4, 5 and 3 being up there pretty far).

FYI, not all of us think the books are that good.   :P  I do see it as trudging through a bunch of chaff to get to the good stuff.

Think I'll go with WoT for a while and see where it takes me. Nanshrok's has given the series the lowest grade I have ever read so it seems promising enough.

Q 31 or so

What's the easiest (free) way to add bookmarks to an already existing pdf (that I didn't create)? I only have the free version of Adobe reader right now, so I'll likely have to dl some stuff, but the less the better. :D
