Halloween Community Competition

The First Annual Halloween Community Competition

So you may be like me and be feverishly bored or perhaps love to jump at the chance of a challenge. Well either way this sort of thing would probably be right up your alley then. I propose, until the day of Halloween (October 31st), that we have a character build competition on the boards. Given enough time I believe it will present a relaxing and yet intriguing avenue for members of the community. So where do we go from there?

Rules
Character Purpose: In some what to thematically be associated with Halloween. That means everything from Ghosts and Ghouls to Vampire Hunters and Fear-Mages.
Character Level: Any up to 20th level. If you believe that you can make an awesome character at 5th level you can go straight ahead. I would hope no character will get precedence over another for simply being higher level as this is a competition of both thematic-flavor and mechanics.
Abilities/Stats: 32-point buy, the usual.
Books: Any that are official WOTC published.
Flaws: 2 only, the usual.
Wealth: As appropriate by the level.
Who's Judging: The community, after Halloween I'll open another thread showcasing the builds and have a poll running. As much as I'd like to run a secretive, impartial & unbiased voting system I trust everyone here isn't that sort of dude and will vote for the build they honestly feel should win.
What Do We Win?: Man you guys are greedy! You get glory and something to do on a lonely Sunday afternoon that will actually contribute to something. But if I can I'll see if something can be arranged by Meg or the mods.

So with that clarified, what do you guys think? If everything checks out that this should merely be a fun & relaxing challenge.

At the very least, assuming dark_samurai PM's me in case I lose track of this contest, the winner will get a lolcat and their name/build put in our Contest Winners thread. It seems to have fallen by the wayside.

I think these would actually be better as NPCs, using CR rules, NPC wealth, etc. Thoughts?

I'm just going to toss this up now, because I really doubt I'll find the time to flesh it out with proper fluff text.

[spoiler]Changeling ghost 5/rogue 1/hexblade 4/cabinet trickster 5/warshaper 4/mindbender 1
- rogue sub level, for all the social abilities
- hexblade dark companion, for the lowered saves and cool factor
- cabinet trickster for detect thoughts and change shape
- ghost for awesomeness, and melovolence, and take a gander at those possession rules from Fiendish Codex I (p.21)
- mindbender for telepathy
- warshaper to further augment your wtf factor

- as a ghost, stalk your prey (preferably a child) and learn everything about them; the social skills should be sufficient, mindreading and telepathy are just icing
- start haunting them, leave just enough impact/evidence that they won't think they're going crazy (people who think they're crazy become far too unpredictable and uncontrollable)
- start whispering into their mind, obliquely at first, until gradually your victim thinks your voice is it's own; either that or it follows your voice blindly
- convince your victim that it must confront and kill the demon that's haunting it if they ever want peace; you will tell them how to kill it
- incite panic/fear, the demon is coming, direct them to the nearest weapon (conveniently placed nearby)
- possess their best friend/parent/pet/whatever, use your shapechanging abilities to grandiose effect

... boo!

This is,
1. A rough build, i've no time to flesh it out
2. Hard to pull in a standard game, and should thus be reserved as a boss NPC
3. An attempt to use essentia in a cool way.

Theme: The grotesque creature rips its victim's soul to shreds, gaining strength each time it kills a victim.

Level 11 is the major point, you have Sorc 10 casting. Bind displacer cloak and draconic tail for a total of 6 natural attacks, each dealing 1 negative level.
Necrocarnate fixes your low incarnum pool, you may also want to take shape soulmeld to actually... like... gain a necrocarnum soulmeld or something, but it's optional.
Level 16 lets you shapechange into anything you kill, potentially adding more natural attacks.

Kobold
Sorceror 1, Dragonwrought, Loredrake, Incarnum Spellshaping, [Draconic Rite of Passage]
Sorceror 2
Sorceror 3 Draconic Reservoir
Sorceror 4
Totemist 1
Totemist 2, Necrocarnum Acolyte, [Draconic Rite of Passage]
Soulcaster 1
Soulcaster 2
Soulcaster 3 Weapon Focus (Claw)
Necrocarnate 1 [Ioun Stone]
Soul Eater 1
Soul Eater 2 Open Feat
Soul Eater 3
Soul Eater 4
Soul Eater 5 Open Feat
Soul Eater 6
Soul Eater 7
Soul Eater 8 Open Feat
Soul Eater 9
Soul Eater 10

I try to find a monster from the depths of the Finnish myths and give it a go. My 'kave' attempt of last year got some positive comments, so maybe I can try again.

Not really building a character, just throwing ideas.

Changeling Sorcerer 16
Known spells: Polymorph Any Object, Suggestion
(Or any LA/creature with similar abilities)

Find a bunch of drunk bums and slay them. Turn their bodies into candy. Chop them up. Change Shape into an old lady. Give the candy to all the village's little kids. Laugh 3 hours later when the candy turns back into bleeding, filthy meat.
