While I see the simplicity of having the followers aid the check, by the business rules wouldn't you have to make them partners to allow their aid to the profit check? Splitting the profit 3201 ways drastically cuts down on the profitability to the owner.

A gygaxian dungeon is like the world's most messed up game show.

Behind door number one: INSTANT DEATH!
Behind door number 2: A magic crown!
Behind door number 3: 4d6 giant bees, and THREE HUNDRED POUNDS OF HONEY!
They don't/haven't, was the point. 3.5 is as dead as people not liking nice tits.

Sometimes, their tits (3.5) get enhancements (houserules), but that doesn't mean people don't like nice tits.

Though sometimes, the surgeon (DM) botches them pretty bad...
Best metaphor I have seen in a long time.  I give you much fu.
Three Errata for the Mage-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Barbarian-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Monks doomed to die,
One for the Wizard on his dark throne
In the Land of Charop where the Shadows lie.

Unless I'm missing something; Leadership caps at 25 until you can take Epic.

And only two people can aid a single check.

Player's handbook, page 66, last sentence of paragraph two at the top left of the page. It is incorrect, however, as the reference involves a DM's ruling on the assistance due to space constraints.

Now that i think about it, you are right. Power of Faerun blatantly ignores this rule, with all the npc's in the book. You do have a point though.

May i ask what the source of that one is? My common sense says (so does RL) that people who contribute more to a company or lead the other earn more. I am paying them although i probaly need to increase their wages. I can do 38gp/month (which is a fortune for a lvl 1), and still have a 200k profit per month.

I did start thinking about the alternative way to do this with a minimum amount of leadership. I'l post that soon.

Page 185, the section on Business Partners, is what makes me think this may be the case. I don't disagree with your layout any, I was just pointing out that might have been what they were aiming for with the income check.

Pocket plane. Put them all in a pocket plane, or a Genesis-created private plane of your choice. For what it's worth, spells could provide the materials via Greater Creation or something similar. It's kind of like the Flesh to Salt cow farm. Only overhead would be spells cast, and your location's rental costs.
