Is it too soon to make a joke about Kurt Cobain killing a thread?

It's never too soon to joke about suicide.

Wrong answer!  We have an erudite reader who did a report on grunge 15 years ago in school, and has a near photographic memory, particularly for random bullshit that might end up on the next Trivial Pursuit :)

Did he have the spell-to-power variant?
It always seems like the barrels around here have something in them.

I think I've read arguments that either alter self or polymorph, from a race that doesn't grant a feat to a race that does, would also grant you a feat.

Example:  Elf -> Human get's humans traits, including a bonus feat

Also, feat leach was a good call.

Also, psychic reformation (sort of).

Best,
David
Some Cool Quotes:  [spoiler]
Quote from: unknown
Non-PC activities like out of combat healing should be left to wands and NPCs. It's not fun to play a walking wand of CLW. Likewise, being a combat wall is not a viable PC role. A Wall of Force could do that.

-Sort of, but you left out the important note that a Wall of Force does it better.

Quote from: Runestar / skydragonknight
The most powerful character is the one that you actually get to play.

Quote from: Operation Shoestring
I often have to remind people not to underrate divination.  The ability to effectively metagame without actually metagaming beats the ability to set things on fire more times than not.

OMG!!! EVERYBODY ABANDON SHIP!!! WE HAVE A NIRVANA FANBOY!!! GODS HAVE MERCY ON OUR SOULS!!!

Ahem. Sorry, knee-jerk reaction. I think the thread is over though :P

For the record, Bleach was ok, In Uttero was ok, and Smells should have been shortened to just that.  And regardless, Kurt wasn't worthy to wipe the ass of Layne Staley.

But, what about...

A gygaxian dungeon is like the world's most messed up game show.

Behind door number one: INSTANT DEATH!
Behind door number 2: A magic crown!
Behind door number 3: 4d6 giant bees, and THREE HUNDRED POUNDS OF HONEY!
They don't/haven't, was the point. 3.5 is as dead as people not liking nice tits.

Sometimes, their tits (3.5) get enhancements (houserules), but that doesn't mean people don't like nice tits.

Though sometimes, the surgeon (DM) botches them pretty bad...
Best metaphor I have seen in a long time.  I give you much fu.
Three Errata for the Mage-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Barbarian-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Monks doomed to die,
One for the Wizard on his dark throne
In the Land of Charop where the Shadows lie.

I was showing restraint here! Why do you people keep bumping this? :P

But yeah, McPoyo, I laughed out loud for about half a minute when I read it a few hours ago. Epic fucking win.  :lol
