I've actually done something like that in game, except I used Haunt Shift to haunt a (dead) skeleton with a (undead) skeleton. The result looks and acts exactly like a skeleton, except it's a construct... which you can augment with Augment Object and Hardness for extra amusement. Take that Clerics!
