what, do we work for you? shut up

also... flaws!

Don't talk to me like that, I potentially wasted all that time because I was led to believe that it was a requirementless feat.

LOL!!! People you are funny! hehe  :P :P :P

Also, rubberduck, if u see this message, thanks for the link to the comic "Looking for Group". I just can't stand laughing. The guy who created it must be a genius! It is very fun, reminds me of "Order of the Stick", but it is better drawed and colored.

Women and RPGs are very similar in one respect - it's all in how you play them.

If it fits in crabs, it fits in books too.

Looking For Group, probably the funniest online comic together with Order of the Stick

For future reference: most feat descriptions can be found at www.crystalkeep.com. Don't trust 100% what they say, though. Sometimes they list things incorrectly, but it is at least a way to get a decent idea what something does. It also has lists of spells, magic items, classes, etc... That can keep you from wasting time in the future.
[spoiler]
A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.
...thanks

I think these are the reasons that in 4th edition there is a character builder. Only legal choices, little to debate of.

And also far less creativity, but that's neither here nor there.

Also, crystalkeep not comprehensive. I know the spell list isn't.

That's why I never bother with the site.

If I could only get access to the ema's charsheet's dynamic spell sheet pdfs. Did anyone save, or know how to get to them?

Yep, flaws are variant. A common variant though. They are core though. UA is core. It's a core variant.

and so is gestalt, or spell points, or anything else in that book. Doesn't mean you can just go ahead and use it without asking a DM for approval  :D

Technically you need DM approval to take prestige classes, too... but a lot of our builds include prestige classes.

Don't talk to me like that, I potentially wasted all that time because I was led to believe that it was a requirementless feat.

It gives Regeneration 1 and Light Sensitivity. TrollBlooded, that is.

and wasted time is my #1 pet peeve

Also...FLAWS ARE VARIANT!!! NOT CORE!! They come from unearthed arcana which is a book of VARIANT RULES! If you were just allowed to take anything from unearthed arcana and use it then every character would be gestalt. Wasn't it Phaedrus that just pointed out its not a good idea to optimize with something that's up to your DM?

If it was that important for you to know, you could have looked it up on Crystal Keep.  You have no one to blame but yourself.

Flaws are considered more kosher in games I've played in than gestalt is, because (theoretically, at least), you aren't getting something for nothing.

Totally agree with this. Most DMs just set a limit like 2 or 3 for the flaws you can take.

I allow flaws specifically because you get something for nothing. I then proceed to do feat swaps on monsters and give them flaws as well.

That makes the game more fun for me. I can min/max the monsters a bit without spending a large amount of time, and the players get more feats which everyone wants.
