The creature was virtually invisible cloaked in darkness and hidden in the jungle foliage itself, but its rustle could be heard.

The it burst forth, merely a shadow the size of one of Hitler's new Volkswagen "Beetles" you've seen pictures of in TIME Magazine-- but this wasn't a car, not the way it bolted forwards towards where Pingo, Malcolm, and the Sarge were standing. (double move)

Sarge, Pingo, Mal, and Bones will have to make a Fortitude save vs Nausea.

Bone's grimaces with the oncoming aroma, for a brief moment he looked as if to sick up, but he swallowed hard and kept it together.

On all fours the creature stood more than 7 feet tall at the shoulder. Its body resembles that of a sloth and is covered with shaggy greenish-brown fur. It has a long, sharp, backward-curving talon on each toe, and its face looks almost human. The smell emanates directly from this beast. It screams again.

"ggGGRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRrrr!"

Loder is so shocked by the sheer size and speed of the creature that he drops the tripod and rifle at his feet.  The noise snaps him out of his reverie and he begins to put up the tripod so Russo's machinegun can be brought to bear on this monster.

Mal never realized anything could smell that bad or be that ugly. But he refused to be eaten today so this was one more thing he had to shoot until it decided he didn't look that appetizing.

Fortitude Saves must meet or beat an 18. If you've met this requirement, then you are good. If you have failed. Then you will suffer from Nausea and be limited to one move action per round.

"oh good god what the fuck is that thing?" Russo whispers breath hissing between his lips as he catches sight of the monster before it dashes out of his sight behind a tree.

catching himself he rushes over to where loader had set up the tripod and begins clipping his beloved gun 'Heather' onto the tripod (after making a few adjustments to the legs which Loader had overlooked in his hast). with a final 'click' the weapon was secured and immediately Russo began throwing the ammo belt across the receiver. and cocked the bolt girding himself to shoot at the monster

"come and get it" he muttered with bravado he didn't feel.
movement action to get to the set up tripod in 'P12' then another movement action to attach it to the 'pod and she's spending next movement action loading it (technically he hasn't loaded it yet)
Now I'm going to explain this for everyone's benefit in the event that there is any misunderstanding above where they/you are in regards to Loder/Russo/Richard/Eisen/Kid.

Eisen & Richard had climbed to the top of this ten-foot by ten-foot carved stone black that somewhat resembles the head of a serpent-- so at the moment they are at a level ten-feet higher than that of Loder, Russo, and the Kid. Attached to this large hunk of statue (and to it's near twin across from it), is an unexplored building made of stone, crumbling, and there is a scent of decomposition and fecal matter from within the open stone doorway.
G'DUH! I should've remembered my goddamn sheet earlier!

Wow, just realized I added the track feat to my repertoire as well, god DAMN I'm sorry I'm so oblivious guys!
As he begins to wretch, seeing the disgusted look on Richards face fills him with zeal and testosterone - nowhere in the military should a comrade look down on you. Flinging off his backpack, Eisen shoves his hand quickly inside the duffel, pulling out what he laid out on top specifically for the need to arise. That smell had to go, he knew he couldn't put up with that. So the gas mask he yanked onto his face should hopefully help, he thought, breathing deeply to try settling his stomach.
No idea if it'll work, but I figured I should try something to become a useful, shooting member of the party, lol. Move action to root out my gas mask, I presume? If not, I'll heroic surge a second move as needed, nuking one of my two daily uses.
Pingo suddenly begins retching. It was far too much far too fast. How could the demon be producing such an awful stench? Pingo turns and runs for cover, frantic to get a breathe of fresh air. He decides behind the stone pillar would be a good place to take a deep breathe and fire his hopeful dart.
Fuck my life. Fort Save (1d20+4=7)

Pingo moves to 26-I behind the pillar.
"That is one smelly son of a bitch!" the sarge exclaims as he tries to suppress his gagging reflex.

He then takes cover behind the pillar, next to the gagging native.

"You okay, Pingo?" he yells over the sound of his Thompson as he unleashes a hail of lead on the jungle-beast.
Move to 26-H, autofire on the 4 squares El Abuelo is in (that is, assuming this is actually El Abuelo :P)

Attack (AC 10 to hit area): 16
Damage (Ref DC15  half): 16

Eisen
Good idea with the gas mask! As soon as Eisen slips it over his face and begins to breath, he feels the nausea begin to pass. You can still smell the aroma, but it is toned down to a level you can deal with. You'll be back to your regular self next round.
Richard
Can I see it?

From your current vantage point you cannot see it. There are two large trees full of jungle vine, bush, and other dense foliage blocking your view. (A character can move through this stuff, but at a movement cost, and vision through it is null.

You can wait until it does come into your line of site or you can go all Great White Hunter and try find a better spot with a more commanding range of vision to take him down.
Great White Hunter it is.  It looks like I'd be able to see it from N10 (tell me if I'm wrong), so do I have to roll anything to get there?

Richard
You'll need to make a climb check...
Quote
DC 20
An uneven surface with just a few narrow handholds and footholds, such as a coarse masonry wall or a sheer cliff face with a few crevices and small toeholds.

Or you could try Jumping or dropping down...
Quote
Falling Damage: The basic rule is simple: 1d6 points of damage per 10 feet fallen, to a maximum of 20d6.
If a character deliberately jumps instead of merely slipping or falling, the damage is the same but the first 1d6 is nonlethal damage. A DC 15 Jump check or DC 15 Tumble check allows the character to avoid any damage from the first 10 feet fallen...

Times:
Climbing at one-half your speed is a full-round action. Moving half that far (one-fourth the character's speed) is a move action. Accelerated climbing, allowing the character to climb at his or her full speed, is a full-round action. A character can move half that far (one-half his or her speed) as a move action.

Using the Jump skill is either a move action or a full-round action, depending on whether the character starts and completes the jump during a single move action or a full-round action.

A character using Tumble can try to reduce damage from a fall as a reaction once per fall. A character can attempt to tumble as a free action that must be performed as part of a move action.
Richard holds his rifle in both hands and hops down, landing with a grunt of pain.  He feels something in his right leg twist, but shrugs it off.  He has bigger problems to worry about, and so with a slight limp he jogs towards the river hoping to get a clear shot of the beast.
Tumble is trained only, so jump it is since I have 0 ranks in every option.

Jump: 8

I take non-lethal damage.  Richard can deal, he's hyped up on adrenaline anyway.  This is his job, though it isn't going as planned.  Stupid mule stole my gear.   :P

Move to N10.

Bones takes a step to his right, and levels the muzzle of his weapon towards the hulking creature that has clambered out of the jungles. *Rat-Tat--!!!*

He knew there was a reason he preferred to sleep on a boat. Bones' bullets hit home and the beast roared in anger.

El Abuelo moves closer to Kestrel who had also opened fire on it this round, and takes a swipe at him with a huge paw. Kestrel rolls out of the way of the attack just in the nick of time. From this close Kestrel could see that something was wrong with this creature; blood leaked from it's moth, nose, and even from around it's eyes. It's eyes shown only white... no pupils he could see. It just wasn't natural! Kestrel was disappointed that his own shotsmissed the creature .

Actually Tommy, you do not get to roll again. You are Nauseous until you leave the area of smell. Once you escape the smell, you must roll again if you encounter it again.
Quote
Nauseated: Characters who are nauseated are unable to attack or do anything else requiring attention or concentration. The only action such a character can take is a single move action per turn. So run! Run bitch!

Loder, Richard, and Eisen (w/the Kid)
